Too much information

There are still a few people out there who haven't got me figured out - Dan at Dan and Betty's Place and The Tile Lady at A Colorful World. They've tagged me to reveal "6 random things about me." But my life is an open blog - I've already told everybody everything...

...except for maybe this stuff:

1. When I was 4, my mom entered my sister and I in a Halloween costume contest. My sister walked away with the best-dressed girl award for her Carmen Miranda outfit. And guess who got the best-dressed boy award for her Train Engineer get-up?

2. When I was 20, I ran away to join the circus. I kid! I kid!

3. When I was 29, I competed in the U.S. National Judo championships. No, I'm not kidding this time. I'm a third-degree brown belt.

4. When I was in my thirties, I took myself and my job way too seriously.

5. In my forties, I started to spend so much time with horses that I started to look like one.

6. A few weeks ago, I bought a scanner. Now I can share all of my old embarrassing photos with you.

I'm going to leave this tag open to anyone who's in the mood to reveal six random things about themselves. Go ahead...it's fun. Find your old photo albums and pick out the most embarrassing ones. I dare you.

  4. Great post Linda! Looking like a horse is probably the biggest compliment you could get!

Looking like an ass wouldn't be bad either ;~) Especially when you're looking like George or Alan!

  5. Why do we do that to ourselves in our thirties? Now that I'm in my early fifties, I'm gotten so easy going, I'm not the same person. I'm finally rested, relaxed and content.

  7. Linda, well done. I guess I'll give you even more respect now that I know you're a 3rd degree brown belt.

Your corporate picture looks great, but I have to admit I like you 'horse face' even more. I suspect the real you is captured there.

    Dan

PS: At least I didn't say, "Why the long face?"

  8. Love the horse picture. That's how I look the best, hidden behind a horse. You're a good sport, I would never post embarrassing photos of myself, and believe me there are plenty.

  9. Wow, a brown belt! Awesome. I work with a woman who's a black belt, so whenever we get anyone 'questionable' in the Gallery, I just stand back and let her handle it. She's never had to tackle anyone, but she's not afraid to get in their face.

What you don't know about people, hmmm?

  10. Wonderful photos! I could look for HOURS at people's old pictures...as long as people are in them and they aren't just landscape shots. That top picture of you and your sister is my favorite. Look at the size of your smile!! :-)
