My piecemeal approach to freshening up the back porch has taken another step.
Whether that's a step forward or backward remains to be seen.
Nonetheless, I've been wanting to show it to you,
but getting Alex to pose with it has been a bit of a challenge
Every living space needs a little art, right?
I bought this lithograph in 1990-ish, and it has been collecting dust
in the attic since I moved to the ranch. I like the colors, but the overall feel
is more federal townhouse than home on the range.
If the frame survives the winter, I can always replace the print. Or not.
I won't do anything until I get the perfect portrait of a puppy with a painting.
This isn't it.
Neither is this.
Maybe a nice cactus litho? I'm thinking hard about a cactus Christmas tree this year, which would not fit in AT ALL over here in southeast Texas with all of it's pine trees. Of course your last photo could also be framed and entitled "Alex in motion." Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that last photo. Made me laugh. Being a "pet photographer" is not all its cracked up to be. Rebecca2
ReplyDeleteThe puppy is adorable. I agree with Rita, cactus would be great, or a cow skull if you can find one.
ReplyDeleteOooh love the colors in the cushions and painting!
ReplyDeleteAlex is so cute.( I think all the photos turned out good)

She's a pup - important things to do. Can't be sitting still in the chair all day :)
ReplyDeleteI think the print itself fits well. The frame is a bit much on stucco though: a simple flat wood frame would fit right in but I'd keep it yellow to match the cushion.
ReplyDeletehahaha...... love it..........
ReplyDeleteI love that you hung it outside!
ReplyDeleteAlex is such an active cutie! Mwa!
