Ranch Journal ~ March 27, 2018

There is precious little going on in nowheresville as I remain in take-it-easy mode.
The chores are getting done, Smooch is getting walked, and I'm sitting around a lot.

I have occasionally been sitting at my sewing machine.
I call this one "How many pairs of glasses does it take to make a shade?":

I have to make one more trip to Home Depot before I can take the "after" photos,
but the shades are done and I like the way they came out.

Ok, you twisted my arm. Here's a picture of one of them:

  13. You totally blow me away! I can't finish a sewing project even with all my ribs intact and even if I could it wouldn't look as good as yours does. So glad you chose the chicken foot fabric!

    1. I mostly followed the tutorial in this post:
      http://brownpaperpackagesep.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/how-to-make-custom-roman-shades.html
The key to success is the tube tape she uses. I'll be posting more about the process next week.

  21. My sewing machine table looks just like that! All of the glasses end up there, then I round them all up, take them back downstairs and start the migration over. LOL!
