Sunday in the sunroom with Smooch

Precious little is happening at the ranch these days.
Nothing exciting to photograph, nothing blog-worthy to write about.

All the drama is happening elsewhere, and that's just fine with us.

A little boredom now and then is good, unless you're trying to keep a blog alive,
in which case it's a bit of a problem.

The feral beast is keeping an eye on us, so there's no need for you to be concerned
by the lack of daily posts. Something interesting is bound to happen sooner or later
and the blog will live to see another day.

  1. JC and Smooch are always blog worthy subjects, even looking bored.

Totally understand, winter has come early to northern Alberta so I'm in early hibernation mode which is not good because it mean less activity and more eating!

Anything new on the relocation process, is that spreadsheet getting filled? :)

  4. First pic w/JCC, I thought you had photo shopped him. It took a sec to realize it was a pillow.
"Interesting" happenings, or not, we just enjoy any morsel of your life. Living vicariously and delight in your humor.

  5. I am with Mick, I enjoy all the glimpses in to life on the ranch no matter how small.
I am all for donkey 101 - how much do they eat, how often do they have to go to the vet, do you have to brush them, how often do they need their feet trimmed, what personality quirks do they each have???

  6. Smooch knew it was her turn, even if that sneaky cat makes an appearance without any smell to give him away. Happy the computer is working again. Fall is a time to start slowing things down. Nature's way.

  7. Really liking those bright red flowers in the sunroom! Sometimes just nothing going on is the best. Big hug for Smooch, aww such a good girl.

  8. I got rid of my cable and now only have NETFLIX. $226.00 a month to watch the news and HGTV was too much for me emotionally! I have been enjoying all things NETFLIX. Where have I been for the past several years? Now, I find the news on my tablet when I am in the mood to see two grown ups bashing each other on national news. OMG what in the world is going on other than those two idiots and Hurricane Matthew? I need to see your ranch and animals and YOU! Have a wonderful Monday and excuse me for rambling on so much.

  9. The sunny sun room with Smooch and Johnny on a lazy Sunday is fine with me. Yesterday was my day to rest, too, and enjoy the passing of summer into fall with a coffee cup in hand while I watched hot air balloons from where I sat under damp overcast skies.

Omigosh, at first I thought JCC and Smoochie-poo had made amends and were sitting next to each other!!
Then I realized it was your pillow cover, bwahahahahaha!!

Glad to hear everything is peaceful and calm! Nothing wrong with that! =)

  14. Oh, I can look at Smooch and Sun Room pictures all day. And that Johnny pillow throws me off every time.

  15. Ha! Took me a while to realize that JCC was a pillow! ;)

  16. Ohhhhhh, the lighting in the sunroom makes my eyes happy. And I know exactly how cozy my hind end would feel sitting on that day bed with sweet Smooch and Johnny-pillow.....sigh.

  18. I'm on vacation here in the Cleveland area (hi Ethel!!) and I haven't had much time to read your blog. I miss it when I don't read it (it's like catching up with an old friend with really cool animals) but I get the feeling that you are getting burned out. Life's too short to do anything that doesn't bring you joy. I know you know that.
