Still lifes

Lucy held this pose for so long that I had time to go get my camera.

Lucy would make a very good model in one of those figure-drawing classes.

As I stared at her in all her stillness, I had time to contemplate
the still-broken door in the background.
Then I got to staring at the unbroken doors on the other stalls.

The lightbulb went off. The door slid off the rail because the rail itself slid south.
Now all I need to fix it is:
1) a very tall person with a sledge hammer to stand on a ladder
2) a person to hold the ladder
3) an observer to tell the tall person when to stop hammering.
Piece of cake.

Lucy: Excuse me. I'm still holding this pose for you. Are we done yet?

Is it me or does it look like George has a hipster mustache on his ears?

Lucy: I'm going to pretend I don't know her.

  1. Gosh, I wish you knew a tall person who could help you with that. :-)

  2. My box rail came with a stop clip. Amazon delivered my set up. I imagine you could get something like that or does it not close that way?

    1. The door handle half way down acts as the stopper. We'll just have to figure out how to keep the rail from sliding once we get it back in place. I'm confident that the tall person referenced in Danni's comment above will figure it out in no time.

    2. I have a closed end rail hanger bracket thingie that keeps it from moving. On one rail that doesn't have that, I just screwed in a big ol' lag screw.

  3. I counted ribs on the good door (8) and the bad door (9). The stop clip would do it.

  5. Looks like it rained pretty good there. Everyone looks relaxed and George's handle-bar is cool!
    Yes, you'll have to wait for the tall dude :-}

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the reason there is no post today is because Linda has gone to pick up "the tall man" and his wife from the airport. The door will be fixed shortly!

    1. You and Northern AB gal...worriers. I was just so stinkin' busy with my real job yesterday, I couldn't stand to sit at the computer for another minute to create a blog post.

I wasn't worrying.. just speculating :) You need a post that just says, "Interrupted by Life" and we will carry on, lol. You realize, of course, that this is all your own fault; if you did not post on a daily basis we wouldn't speculate what was going on when you didn't post, hahahaha! See how easy that was to lay the blame on somebody else for something I did!! I could be a politician :)

Cute Lucy! She looks like she was just waiting for you to take a photo! ("Look Mom! See what I can do?!")

I hope you enjoyed your day, despite your workload. I took the afternoon off yesterday from work and ended up seeing three exhibitions! I don't know where the energy came from because today I'm exhausted beyond belief! Ha ha!
