I'm astonished by the number of birds that hang out here...
...despite the ever-present feral beast.
Between the swallows, the curve-billed thrashers, the doves, the ravens, and
who knows what else, the Audubon Society could set up shop and sell tickets.
The feral beast has a front-row seat on the action...
...but the birds are clever enough to keep their distance.
Watching all this activity can be exhausting.
Hahahaha! Thank you for putting a really big smile on my face at 5:53 in the morning. I had a total sour puss frown before seeing that sweet kitty stretching out. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThe feral one is a true beauty !
ReplyDeleteHas it cooled down a little for you?
It has! It even rained on Sunday. We're all much happier now.
DeleteHope he recovers! He is a beautiful boy. Good thing he has you to publicize him as he's sure he deserves.
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome little guy. And so patient with you. If I point a camera at my kitty she speeds away.
ReplyDeleteLove this series! When dear daughter and I head west on a bird photography expedition we may have to buy tickets for 7MSN. :)
ReplyDeleteA steady supply of water wins over any threat from the feral beast.
ReplyDeleteOh JCC, you are a hoot...LOVE the expressions on your face...
ReplyDeleteThe birds are great too....
Glad you had some rain....hope it helped with the fires in NM.
Love from NC
Love this handsome dude - great photos as usual!
ReplyDeletehow sweet and beautiful is our JCC. and so so slim! if you dont want JCC to hunt birds he needs a collar with a little bell
ReplyDeleteLove the swallows! Had some here for a season, but then had barn owls move in. They were neat, too, but chased the swallows out. :-(
ReplyDeleteOh wow, great shots! That first one is spectacular, with the one swallow's wings extended in flight like that!
ReplyDeleteHandsome Johnny ((swoon))....
Great photos! At least JCC never gets bored! ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to get photos of the baby swallows here, but they are too smart for me! ha ha!
My ginger kitty used to do frustrated little 'mow's of frustration, but these days he is too fat, old and lazy to care, and that's fine by me. I'd rather have safe birds. :)
ReplyDeleteHe's VERY tired!!!
