George and Alan go on a forced march

Walking three donkeys at once can be a bit of a handful for one person,
so I took advantage of my weekend ranch hands to put a little training on George and Alan.
I foolishly thought that we could all enjoy a peaceful and easy trek off the property,
but that was not happening. Once we switched to Plan B (a walk along the inside of the fenceline),
George and Alan fell right in line and seemed to enjoy themselves as much as the two-leggeds.

  3. I think they'd prefer to stay home and wrestle. Lucy looks good.

  4. LOL... would they have followed you guys if not tethered?

  5. So from now on, we don't say "as difficult as herding cats." It's "as difficult as taking donkeys for a walk."

  6. You tried to take the little darlings outside their comfort zone. That's a No, No!

  7. How did you come up with "Colonel Bogey" for that? Guffaw! The boys have their own ideas of how to have a peaceful trek. Hug hug hug hug.

  9. Always an adventure at the 7MSN ranch. They are so stinking cute it kills me. I did detect a bit of "why does Lucy get to lead now?" attitude though. Maybe just me.

  10. Ha! I bet they wondered why they had to take humans for a walk! ;) Especially when the humans could just follow the path ...

Oh, how fun! For the humans, at least!
Somehow, it feels like Alan is pouting, "Why am I on this leash thing? I want to go walk over there! Mom, why not?!" ha ha!!

Good thing you had extra hands to help you!! =)

  13. How did you get Alan to be so perfectly in step with the march/tune?
Too cute how the Burro Brothers seem (to me) to be so doubtful one minute, and then so eager the next.

  14. What fun that sounds like to walk your donkeys. That sounds like it could be song title "Walk Your Donkeys."
