Every evening around eight o'clock, Smooch and I head out in the Ranger
to find Hank and remove his fly mask.
Smooch is always strapped in, under protest.
She would rather hunt down rabbits than Hank.
By the time we find the herd and hug them all goodnight, the sun is just about gone.
One last look through the garden gate before we pull into the garage.
That sky is so amazing in New Mexico. Just stunning.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely stunning views no matter where you look
ReplyDeleteOK, after those photos, I'm moving out there! How gorgeous can a place be? I'm gonna move next door to you and be your new best friend! (And George & Alan & Hank & Smooch JCC of course.) Get the coffee cooking!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to know this. Whenever I visit the mountains, I always wonder if the folks who get to live in view of the majesty, ever start to take the views for granted. I behold the mountains with such awe and wonder whenever I have the chance to visit, and I always say that I would never get anything done if I lived in close proximity, because I just can't stop staring at them! So glorious and spectacular, they are. I appreciate that you appreciate the views, and I really, really appreciate that you share them here with us! Thanks for the amazing images...and for your earth heart...and animal heart. You're just so wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I love New Mexico. I need a trip to NM It has been too long. Thank you for the photographs.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I never tire of looking at your pictures.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! You take great photos, Carson! Poor Smooch!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos... especially that last shot!
ReplyDeleteAlthough San Diego has some amazing sunsets over the Pacific Ocean, nothing beats these New Mexico skies as your photos show. The air is so dry and clear. Such a good move to have come here!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful way to end the day!
ReplyDeleteThere is something about being gifted a window into other people's world that is magical. I love that you appreciate your sky, every day, the way that we do. I have been known to pull over and point it out to my kids. "MOM!!! We need to GO!!!" One day, I feel certain, they will be pulling over to show their children the magic of every living day.
