Me: Psst...look over here.
JCC: Are you speaking to me?
Me: Yes. Your adoring public might appreciate a formal portrait.
JCC: In that case, let me look aloof. It's my specialty.
JCC: Ho hum la de da. Getting bored.
JCC: One swipe and I could rip this print down to make room for one of me.
JCC: Way too much equine decor in this house.
JCC: I wonder how I would look in glasses?
Me: Touch those and you're never coming in the house again.
JCC: Just looking!
he is one handsome cat.
ReplyDeleteThere's something about perfectly rounded little cat cheeks that makes me want to squish them.
ReplyDeleteJCC is one handsome fella!
ReplyDeleteThat last pic slays me. Mostly because I have 2 cats and we have similar conversations all the time
ReplyDeleteMe; "do that and you'll be beaten."
Cat; ::innocent face:: "I was just pondering"
Luckily they're too cute to stay mad at them long.
i love the title Formerly Feral... who knew he could be 'tamed' but if anyone could you could. so handsome..
ReplyDeleteOne handsome cat. Charming post, just like a cat. Feral -- just a distant memory.
ReplyDeleteSeeing Johnny Cashcat just makes me happy. Such a nice way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteJCC has perfected the "looking down his nose at you" pose!! For someone who insisted she would NOT grow close to this cat ... well, you failed miserably!! I knew you could not NOT love this sweet little marmalade-colored boy!! That June Cartercash cat ran out on a good thing with you ... her loss, JCC's gain for sure!
ReplyDeleteHugs from CO ... Marcia
Wonderful photos of your golden boy! Love! Becky
ReplyDeleteAmazing transformation - he is so handsome!
ReplyDeleteI don't think any cats are more beautiful than orange and I say that with two coal black cats but his markings and all let his face show up with so much expression :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! I'm allergic so I rely on Johnny CC and Maru to act as my vicarious felines. Thanks for sharing. Hehe. Aunt Jean
ReplyDeleteAh, you've captured all the reasons I love cats and have two in my house!
ReplyDeleteHandsome, tall, long... and WILD!
ReplyDeleteHe is one tall drink of water that is for sure. I am allergic, but I still feed Fatty and Cali every evening because they basically won't allow me to go through my front door until their food is in their bowl. Fatty and Cali are strays and outdoor mousers. I keep them around to keep the vermits down....so I tell myself. JC is a real beauty! (I think everyone in the neighborhood feeds Fatty, for months and months I thought she was pregnant!)
ReplyDeleteIt's something regal about that cat. And he's now got that expression on his face that cats have when they feel safe and relaxed. Love him!
ReplyDeleteIt always makes me wonder, what is it about that little something setting next to them on a ledge....a pair of glasses, a small potted plant, a priceless heirloom vase that can never be replaced...that makes them want to knock it off! Those darn cats.
ReplyDeleteLoL! formerly feral, too much equine decor, just looking!! you are hilarious! and JCC gorgeous, just gorgeous and sweet oh so sweet
ReplyDeleteDoes JCC have 6 toes?
ReplyDeleteSecond to the last picture...so funny! Have you seen those videos floating around Facebook lately, entitled something along the lines of "Cats knocking sh*t down"? Apparently this is the latest trending feline pastime and, clearly, Johnny is right in step with the fad. :-)
ReplyDeleteHe's so darn HANDSOME!
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome boy. Our new cat is joining us tonight. He is a grey and black stripped/spotted, long legged cat named Chandler. He is officially RyLeigh's new buddy. But we all know that because I stay home all day that he is another member of Oma's crazy cat lady collection.
ReplyDeleteHe looks a lot more like a housecat these days! I think the indoor life is growing on JCC! ;)
