On cold and wintry days, it's easy to know which way the wind is blowing.
Everybody turns his or her butt to the wind and backs into a tree to stay warm.
There are enough trees to go around, and nobody has to share unless they want to.
George and Alan usually want to.
Tell us how you really feel about the wind, George.
Along with his winter coat, George has sprouted wings.
If I were him, I'd fly away and come back sometime in April.
I backed into his tree to stay warm, which he didn't seem to mind
as long as I scratched his ears or his butt.
When I returned my hand to my pocket, he let me know it was time to give him his tree back.
I may have asked before but do you every cut juniper branches, berries and decorate for Christmas. My God you've got thousands of dollars worth of floral decorating material out there on the ranch. You could make a great wreath and I bet it smells great if you burn it!
ReplyDeletehope you and your critters have a happy thanksgiving... smiling now
ReplyDeleteGeorge has the Farah Look! And I think of when Lucy kept zipping my zipper up and down on my noisy raincoat. Love their quirky personalities.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable
ReplyDeleteThey have got that sheltering from the wind thing down. Love it.
ReplyDeleteAround here we can look to cattle in pastures when strong winds blow. All turned the same way, butts to the wind.
No ugly cigarette butts and no ashes.....you've got a beautiful herd of three Ass Butts.....:) And Hank.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving! All out here are thankful for you and the 7MSN.
Happy Thanksgiving Carson! You always bring so much joy to people like me each morning with all your beautiful pictures, animals...and sometimes vermon. Keep warm and toasty. I am heading up north to Chico, California for the day. We get rain in our neck of the woods this weekend!
ReplyDeleteVermon is a fancy word for vermin.
DeleteI don't know why I'm always a little surprised when big animals exhibit Personality like that. I'm completely aware of different personalities in dogs and cats. I love that most animals have a sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteLucy's dapples... :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, Carson. Have a wonderful weekend amongst your furry and feathery friends. BA SP
ReplyDelete"butts to the wind"... there's got to be a country song in there somewhere!!
ReplyDeleteAnother educational post! Butts to the wind, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Reminds me of early winter mornings, facing my back to the wind while waiting on the bus. Looks like their fuzzy coats are keeping them pretty warm, though.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving Carson. Thank you for keeping the blog going. I know it isn't an easy task and I appreciate your commitment to the daily post. I'm not the only one who would be lost without the 7msn!
ReplyDeleteSo very true, HDJ!!
