It was Friday afternoon. I had just finished my lunchtime chores and was doing a photoshoot with Johnny.
When he stopped to smell the flowers on the bridge over the culvert, I spied something in the corner of the frame.
Was that a troll under the other side of the bridge?
No, it was Wynonna, taking a nap with her head practically shoved in the drain pipe.
Me: Wynonna, that's a dangerous spot to sleep. What if it starts to rain and there's a flash flood?
The water might swoop you up and carry you down the drain.
The water might swoop you up and carry you down the drain.
Johnny: Fat chance.
Wynonna: zzzzzzz
I had to get back to work, so I left Johnny to pigsit.
Four hours later, I went back outside and Wynonna was still in the same spot,
although she had flipped over. A girl has to have an even tan going into summer, you know.
The rocks poking into her ribs did not appear to bother her.
Hans Christian Andersen clearly was not referring to the Porcine Princess in his fairy tale about the pea.
laughed all the way through this princess pig and the royal cat..... just to funny. Wynonna is a true Princess, rocks or no rocks.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen her in awhile. Thanks for this!

You totally made my morning with photos and a story about Johnny AND Wynonna!!
ReplyDeleteYou really should get out there and remove some of those rocks from the Princess' bed. :)
ReplyDeleteLov your blog. Your animals communicate with you and with each other so wonderfully !!!!
ReplyDeleteShe always cracks me up. What a character she is. I guess beauty sleep is beauty sleep no matter where you get it.
ReplyDeletehaha now you have animals, with personalities, and stories to tell! paradise
ReplyDeleteShe says you have been too long without rain and would you please make her a nice big mud wallow. Poor Porcine Princess, having to stick her head in a drain in vain hope of reaching mud. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteJohnny & Wynonna ........sounds like a childrens book to me!?! I don't think Wynonna knows just how funny she is.
ReplyDeleteYour camera and Johnny love each other. The Porcine Princess could hardly care less that you take photos of that cat's narrow behind. He is so sleek, almost disappears.
ReplyDeleteLove this .. those two are too cute.
ReplyDeleteWynonna makes me laugh. *head shaking* That girl definitely dances to the beat of her own drummer. I have to confess, I've fallen a little bit in love with Johnny. He is one handsome addition to the herd. Big hugs all 'round.
ReplyDeleteThis totally cracks me up! Johnny-pigsitting! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 1st Anniversary, Johnny Cash Cat! I can't believe it has been a whole year, already. It seems like it was just a couple of months since he came into your life, Linda. Some much for that feral cat thing.

Glad Ms. W wasn't disturbed during her siesta. Looks like JCC did a fine job of pig sitting. Does he get paid for that talent?????????
ReplyDeleteIt's been a good long while since I last visited here, life and all, but what a delightful post! I do believe I have a bit of a girl crush on your Wynona. made me smile for sure today.
ReplyDeleteWell said and i am agree with your ideas and some people get Drain clearing services home base. Thank you for share it.
