He really is a beautiful cat. The coloring in the sun is special. I see he is still interested in hunting. Maybe tomorrow you'll let us know if he caught a mouse. BA SP
Remember the "Just So" stories by Rudyard Kipling, such as "How the Tiger got its Stripes?? From Wikipidia: The Just So Stories typically have the theme of a particular animal being modified from an original form to its current form by the acts of man, or some magical being. SO, I am hereby claiming that Johnny's Long Long Tail would put him in a fine "Just So" story....his tail being modified by a magical being, so that he can do his amazing balancing beam act, and sit on a tree stump while nearly touching the ground!! What do you think? Also, there're the 'donkey ears on his forehead which certainly have some mystical reason!
He's beautiful and these photos do him justice...you make a good prowler, too, Linda, sneaking up like a paparazzi!
What a wonderful imagination you have, Elizabeth! I totally agree. I loved those stories as a kid and now am enjoying them with mine and I think Carson's crew would fit in!
Wonderful pictures as always. That first one is gorgeous and so's Johnny. I visit you first thing every day, but don't usually comment. I just love all of your pictures, seeing what it's like there and seeing what you and your critters are up to. Give Johnny a scritch for me!
Johnny has a special caracteristic that makes his eye even more beautiful: he has two lines under his eyes, perfect white liner for purrfect green eyes
Cats are such joys to simply observe, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI love the little "profile in shadow" photo. What a cute little nose Johnny has.
