George: I'm getting tired. Let's call a truce.
...but they're not fooling anybody.
Me: Isn't that enough for one day? My memory card is almost full.
Alan extends an olive branch hunk of tumbleweed and the boys go back to their corners.
Lucy stands ready to intervene should her peace-keeping skills be necessary.
Hank: You know they're going to start up again the minute you go back in the house.
I just love watching those two and their antics. They were so fortunate that you adopted them both way back when. Nothing like landing in paradise with your BFF at your side!
ReplyDeleteOh those little tykes, full of sass and mischief. Great to have such playful little guys around.
ReplyDeleteLife is just a tire swing. BA SP
fantastic, once again. keep the fun coming.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or is Hank pigeon toed? Maybe it is the stripes on the hooves...
ReplyDeleteHis right hoof does turn in a little now because of his barely bendable right knee.
DeleteIn photo #3---George seriously looks like he's saying, "What did you say?" Wonder what's making them cranky?
ReplyDeleteLucy and Hank's expressions are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and sincere. You can see the flicker of mischief anyway though. Love them. As long as they don't bang into Hank, all is well.
ReplyDeleteYou (mom): Isn't that enough for one day? My memory card is almost full.
ReplyDeleteGeorge: Did you hear that Alan? You know when's mom's memory gets full she can't put anything more in it...so we can do anything we want and she won't remember it at all!! Let's play!!
Alan: After she sleeps tonight, it'll get empty again.
George: So??
Alan: Then Lucy will tell.
George: So??
Alan: Then Hank will tell.
George: And all we have to do is put on our soooo cute faces and mom will melt at our feet...er...hooves!
Mom: Yep, that's the truth :-)
Lucy (sigh): Yep that IS the truth.
Hank (considering to himself): If mom loses her memory, maybe I can get another bucket of hay???
You nailed it again, Elizabeth!
DeleteSo glad you enjoyed that!! Such fun to write!
DeleteHaha Elizabeth.... Good writing! I think you have gotten to know Carson's nerd well :-)
DeleteAnd of course, Carson, you pics and your narrative make me smile. Scratches to the herd for me.
Hank sure is a handsome one.
