Oh...it is so very sad. I will miss your get togethers and the fun photos. Safe travels to them as they go to their new home. Maybe the new family will have donkeys too. Lisa G in TN
"Parting is such sweet sorrow". It is too, I dread goodbyes. I thank you for the pictures of these sweet donkeys. In my dreams I get to walk up and hug each one of them, they tickle me so. And a big hug for you, too! Bless you!
"Mourning" Bray Farm - how fitting. I was hoping you would have one more chance for a get-together, but it must have been a rather melancholy one this time. I do wish Justina and Don and their "farmily" all the best, whole-heartedly, but it makes me awfully sad to think that you will no longer have these stupendous friends (sort of) close by. (Guess I could've just written: "What Carla said!")
I hope they keep us all up to date on their animal family from their new farm. I am hoping that whoever buys their house are animal lovers and you can get to know them.
Its just so hard to lose good friends, keep in touch, thats what you can do.
NYT had a donkey article today: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/29/world/europe/despite-subsidies-hard-times-for-a-small-and-four-legged-group-of-europeans.html
You have my deepest sympathies. I suffered a similar loss years ago - a very good friend moved far away - and it was very difficult. The MBF folk will be impossible to replace but hopefully you can cultivate other friendships that will help fill the void. Astoundingly cute pic of lined up donkey faces.
It is always sad when dear friends move away. I will miss the Morning Bray gang too-especially Ellsworth. Hope that Don and Justina share photos and storie about their journey to the new place. Thank you for the photos of those sweet donkeys.
Dang. This year has been hell on earth for you. Too many losses in too short a time. Holding you in the Light that better days are coming in every way for you and your critters.
this makes me sad and i don't even know them like I know yours. I wish them the best of luck with their move
ReplyDeletethe apple slices are good too :P

I was hoping you'd have a chance to get together with them before their big move. We shall miss the stories of their visits.

Oh, I agree with everyone and I never met them...Carla said it best.

ReplyDeleteYou must be missing them already. I hope Justina blogs about the new farm.
I guess something to be thankful for is that they were there during the 'colic episode'. I know you'll miss them very much.
:-(
ReplyDeleteOh, no! I just read that they are relocating to Virginia to be closer to family! It was on their blog. I'm sure you will greatly miss them... :-(
ReplyDeleteAll lined up for their apple and goodbyes. ;o(
