I walked around with my camera on Thanksgiving eve, hoping to capture an image I could use for today's post
that would suitably illustrate the meaning and spirit of the day. I don't know what I was looking for, but I know I didn't find it.
Everybody was doing his or her own thing, and I was the only one with an agenda.
Me: Show me some Thanksgiving gratefulness, George.
George: Show me some hay and I'll stop chewing on this tree.
Lucy: I'm thankful that it's almost time for dinner. Does that count?
Wynonna: Did someone mention dinner?
I lost my focus on capturing the quintessential Thanksgiving image...
...and started making a mental list of all the things for which to be grateful.
Know that it includes the friendship of every single one of you who visits us each day.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the 7MSN.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of 7MSN! Thank you again for sharing your life with us.

ReplyDeleteWhen I started blogging, I never expected to be welcomed into such an amazing community. As for family, my most beloved members have always been fur-clad, although exceptions would be made for certain porcine princesses. So much to be grateful for over there at the 7MSN. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHuge THANKS for this blog and for all of the dear critters there, and even bigger thanks to you, Carson for sharing your world. AND even bigger thanks for your recovery!

As I checked in this morning, and looked at all your lovely images of your babies, the song 'Count Your Blessings...name them one by one...etc.' popped into my mind. I know the 'firsts' of everything without loved ones we've lost is especially hard. Thinking of you, praying for you, and sending hugs to every neck. Thankful for you...
ReplyDeleteAll of the baddogs and I are grateful that you came safely through your harrowing medical adventure. Thank you for sharing life on the ranch with us.

Even if you didn't find what you were looking for...you have shared some great photos of your kids. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! I think the photos of them eating and wanting to be fed pretty much sum up this holiday. I hope you all have a nice, safe holiday.
ReplyDeleteAs the single mother of a son, years ago we decided we didn't want a turkey for T.Day and so I made a pizza in the shape of a turkey using olives and other little things for features. It will probably ever be my favorite Thanksgiving production. Pilgrims
