Smooch: I can't believe how much snow is out there.
Me: I can't believe I left the shut-off valve thingy on the spigot and I have to haul water all weekend.
Johnny: I can't believe mom had to shovel paths for me and Wynonna so we wouldn't drown.
Wynonna: I can't believe you left me out of the 2014 calendar.
Karma's a bitch, you know.
Alan: I can't believe you're going to try to keep up this "I can't believe" crap for the whole post.
Me: Me, neither. I'll give it a rest for awhile.
Me: Me, neither. I'll give it a rest for awhile.
The snow started falling early Saturday evening and didn't stop until Sunday noon.
We were allpretty pissed in disbelief.
We were all
I need to teach these two how to pull a plow.
Lucy: There's something to be said for bad weather.
I can't believe how much hay you're doling out to keep us warm.
Hank: I can't believe that drift is up past my knees.
George: I can't believe he went out there.
Alan: Keep an eye on him in case he sinks.
George: I can't believe the lengths that boy will go to to graze.
Hank: I can't believe you're following me around taking pictures.
Aren't your feet cold?
Me: I can't believe the snow is up to my knees and winter's still a month away.
I can't believe how much I'm worried about you shoveling such an amount of snow! (What am I, a mother or something?) Hope it was very dry, light-weight snow and your tummy did not object to that kind of exercise.
ReplyDeleteToo much snow too soon, but you certainly got a funny, cute and beautiful post out of it! :)
Well there must be very cold but the snow is beautiful <3
ReplyDeleteWelcome to join my blog

Yikes ... I can't believe any of this post, and to think that storm is heading my way!
ReplyDeleteHOLY DONKEY!Was that predicted?
ReplyDeleteMakes me glad we're only at 17 degrees and no snow. Haven't had any measurable snow in several years so I imagine we're due. Freezing rain in the forecast, don't know which is worse...
ReplyDeleteEmily in NC
WOW!!! That snow fall is worthy to be called Canadian eh!! ;) As long as there is power, water and internet (and wine) you will be fine snowbound ;D
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this storm is supposed...supposed...to miss Ohio. Though it is 18 degrees :( I need a Knucklehead embroidery on my winter coat, please. Just on general principal. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThe first snow of the season is so beautiful and the sun came out in the afternoon to do its magic. Have a Happy Thanksgiving to all at the 7MSN Ranch (may there be extra stuffing for Wynonna, extra turkey for Johnny and extra naps for Linda).
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how that shot and caption with Wynona made me spew my coffee laughing!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics, awesome narration :-)
My little Miss M was just asking if it ever snowed before winter. I'll show her the answer when she wakes.
We're thinking of you and yours out there. I know you'll keep everyone as warm and dry as possible. Take care!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! I don't remember you getting that much (at one time) in the past. I hope you have wood close to the house, instead of all of it out at the hay barn. Glad the herd have their winter coats!
ReplyDeleteMe again---I know it's just your pants, but it looks like you have slices of bacon across the cuffs of your pants in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly!
ReplyDeleteOkay, my first thought is how beautiful your photos are with all the snow. And my second thought is, are you supposed to be doing all that hard work including shoveling and hauling water?
ReplyDeleteI completely understand how a pig could feel miffed.
I can't believe you were out there shoveling snow and taking photos in knee deep snow so soon after your surgery... I can't believe how much I loved every single photo and caption. and I also can't believe you left wynonna out of the calendar...
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you got all that snow, either! You have more than us, at present. I can't believe you left Wynonna out of the 2014 calendar, either. That was quite a risk you took...watch your back.
ReplyDeleteStay warm & dry out there!
Those pictures brought back memories of the snow and ice I endured in that area when I lived in the area. Am so glad that I don't live in snow country anymore. Take care & please be careful.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that you don't have warmer boots. You need to get better clothed for the months ahead. Do hope you get that water situation fixed. I have friends in Michigan and they use Bar Bar A waters...they don't need power and they seem to work from the heat of the ground. I have Nelsons and would never invest in them again. Actually thinking about giving them away and getting Bar Bar A's Anyway hugs and stay warm..
ReplyDeleteYou have had a really rough year and now this! Wish I could help. We don't get that amount of snow here in north central Georgia. Have I told you lately that I love Wynonna (I love all of your animals)? I do. I wish all at the 7MSN Ranch a Happy Thanksgiving!! I have something new to be thankful for this year ......this blog!!
ReplyDeleteWe wanted the snow here in Burque and got the typical 2 ft tall snowman built from the little we got from on top of the car snow. Bummer. And I know I'm on the nag squad but please be good to you and take care. Casa de Cuckoo
ReplyDeleteand I would watch my back for sure with Ms. W. Slighting a pig is a big mistake.
Ranch sister sitter #5 here -I could be of such help. This Alaska girl is a pro at shoveling snow. Thinking of you and the herd. Stay warm. Give Wynonna extra treats and tell her how pretty she is . . . like she doesn't already know it, right?
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful we don't have that here in my part of Arizona.
ReplyDeleteTake a blow dryer to the water pipe, it should fix the problem. A heat gun would be better, if you have one (most Canadians do!)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my world!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we heard about the snow in New Mexico on our west coast Canadian news yesterday - I wondered if it had hit your area. Take it easy on that shovelling.
ReplyDeleteAs for Wynonna, I'm happy to see your oversight was duly noted and I'm pretty darn sure we'll see her in the 2015 calendar. Piggy Power!! :)
The photos and captions were great to look at. Keep warm! Can you hook a snow plow type attachment up to the Ranger?
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I wonder about how much snow you were going to get with how much Southern Colorado got. I think their is more snow moving in down south. I hope you are prepare. Take it easy shoveling.
ReplyDeleteWell If it would SNOW at my house at least it would be warmer! We have been FREEZING! and STAGNANT air. I can be thankful the wind is not blowing! Then it would be more miserable than it is now. Your snow is beautiful. Oh, love the calendar, and I am also Happy Smooch and Johnny got a page to themselves!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how hard I laughed at Wynona's comment! Best Wynona line ever! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA!!!! Wynona's comment is so funny, I can't believe I didnt crap my pants!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!!!! I cannot even imagine that much snow in November or any time actually. It's cold enough in Mississippi right now to snow, but if we get any snow at all, it's not until Jan. or Feb. Wow.
ReplyDeleteWow, I am stunned too. Take care of yourself. Ann from Maine (mega cold here-- it was 48 in my living room this morning before I got the stove going). Oh.Joy. :) Hugs to Neglected Wynonna.
ReplyDeletelove your comments! knucklehead!! hope the snow stops falling.. take good care of you
ReplyDeleteThank you for snapping me back to reality. It's been cold here (20s to 30s and windy) and I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself as I pile on the layers. Now I see that there are others who are dealing with much larger challenges ... on the bright side, snow makes for lovely diffused light for portraits of all of the critters. (You're a good mom to all of them!)
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry for all the snow and frozen water, but the way you wrote this made me laugh and laugh!! The level of disbelief currently at 7MSN is off the charts!!
ReplyDeleteI had to read it three times and was completely tickled each time.
But, oh dear... I don't blame Wynonna for being miffed. :-)
I can't believe you have more snow than I do! (up here in Saskatchewan... middle of the prairies Canada)
ReplyDeleteCarson, I think that was "our" winter storm which left 8-12 inches of snow in our local mountains. Poor Johnny cat...I hope he stays warm! Will you let him in the house for a few minutes? Did you fix up his nice, cozy bed?
ReplyDeleteWow! Just saw this...and I was complaining about all the rain we were getting here in AZ. We are trying to fill in all the giant ruts and gullies on our property. At least the snow is pretty!
