Yesterday, for the first time since August 28, I was home alone.
Call it one more step on the way back to normal.
Seven weeks of social interaction ... I honestly didn't think I had it in me, hermit that I am.
But I loved every minute that my ranchsitters spent here.
There's no way I could have healed without them.
Now the animals and I are back to entertaining ourselves and doing the chores without help.
Don't worry – we'll take it easy and pace ourselves.
and you can learn much from Wynonna about taking it easy.. LOL JC warms my heart with that paw reaching for your hand. good luck returning to hermit living...
ReplyDeleteWow, you've made it this far in the healing process. What a wonderful thing to have so many caring friends that could help you along the journey to now.
ReplyDeleteKeeping out "eyes" on you so you don't do too much too soon, Miss Independent! I'm glad you are doing so well and feeling much, much better!
When it is pleasant company, it's always hard to say goodbye. Stay well and take special care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteBest always,
I'm sitting here smiling because you are well on your way to full healing ... and because I get to add a peek at the adorable Wynnona to my Friday morning. Way to go, Carson!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. Has Johnny Cash cat been keeping the mouse population under control on the ranch??
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I really have trouble when folks stay at my house for more than 5 or 6 days.
ReplyDeleteIt's so very hard to take help from anyone, and you've done it with grace and a smile.
Nice to see things are getting back to normal for you. Take it easy. Love your pics of Johnny cat!
ReplyDeleteYes, y'all do take it easy!
ReplyDeleteDaily living is a wonderful thing. JCC is just as photogenic as everybody else at the 7MSN. Acts like it has always been his home.
ReplyDeleteSiestas, good habit to have.
So glad to know you have come so far since that day in August and you ended up in the hospital! What a blessing to have such devoted fans and friends who have helped you with your healing process!!
ReplyDeleteI'd say Johnny CashCat is giving you a "high five paw" ...
Hugs from CO ... Marcia
I never expected to start my days with donkeys, but doggone it, they grow on you. You are a lucky lady to have such good friends -- animal and human.
ReplyDeleteIt IS wonderful to see you standing on your own 2 feet, but it was certainly a heart-warming thing that you had so many people to look after you when you needed the help. And that you accepted the help!

While you may wish to follow Wynona's example of taking it easy. You don't have a chance. She's a pro.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you feel well enough to be on your own.
Glad you are back on your feet again, Carson! Johnny Cat will help you out, as will all of your animals! Just take it easy, okay?

Ah, sweet solitude. There's healing power in that, too.
ReplyDeleteI really do envy the way so many rallied to your support in a real tangible way. I'm not sure I'd get the same level of support you did, if I were to find myself in the same position.
Blessings,
Carolynn
I love when you get cute photos of Johnny and the princess.
ReplyDeleteVery happy to hear you're back home and doing well! Bet it feels great to be getting back to normal huh? :) And, I'm thinking that Wynona could teach you a few things about taking life easy. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your on the mend!! You'll be back to normal in no time!

ReplyDeleteTotally love that pic of Wynonna, and as for JCC, well he's a darling, no doubt about it. Was lovely to see how people rallied round you, and also how you handled it all with such grace and humour.
