I enjoy your blog and photos. So glad you are getting better and have someone to help. Love the super relaxed Johnny. Makes me wonder how he got in the barn cat program. Maybe so he could find you!
This picture is so beautiful. This is what trust and love look like. I'm thinking there are probably similar expressions on your faces, Carson and Danni.
Whoa ... is that Johnny CashCat snoozing in the arms of the help? Holy cow ... That is so sweet to know he has gotten so comfy with everything and everyone ... except for the long ears, maybe ... and he still keeps his distance from Smooch!!
You are a fortunate woman to have such friends who love you and your crew. Johnny Cat was just waiting for that special person to come along and snuggle with him. Sweet.
Am I the oldest person on this list who remembers this song:
All the girls are crazy about a certain little lad Although he's very very bad He could be oh so good when he wanted to Bad or good he understood about love & other things For every girl in town followed him around just to hold his hand and sing
Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny Johnny! How you can love Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny Johnny! Heavens above, way above You make my sad heart jump with joy And when you're near I just can't sit still another minute Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny Johnny! Please tell me dear What makes me love you so? You're not handsome, it is true But when I look at you I just, Oh, Johnny Johnny Johnny! My! da-da-da
Sweet photo. If he hasn't already, he'll make friends with Smooch too. We had a cat like him, Tigger, who showed up at the farm one day after being dumped and lived with us until he died of old age. He was box trained and became one of our inside cats as well as out during the day. Never had a more loving cat ever and with zero temperament in Tigger's case. The kids could bundle him into a doll baby carriage.
Thanks for my morning smile! Johnny Cash Cat obviously knows what side his bread is buttered on. I just hope he knows he still has to earn his keep as security guard / anti-rat patrol at the barn. :)
Yep! As everyone else said, JCC was just posing as a feral cat until he could find the right home - and now his true personality has come out! When I was a kid we had a cat who looked like this - we named him Casey. He could be aloof at times, but he was a real snuggler. My sister and I snuck him into our double bed and he learned to sleep down at our feet, under the covers, in case Mom came in to check on us.
Oh my. So touching. One of Johnny's dreams has come true! Although, I do think it's highly likely that Rancher-Woman "secretly" has been holding Johnny before... Btw, with two animal whisperers at the Ranch right now, it should be a cinch to formally introduce Johnny to Smooch, so that peace and harmony may reign when they start sharing the house. (just couldn't resist!)
How did that happen? I haven't seen any pictures of him being held or on a lap. Did you try to make that happen or did he decide to make it happen? I guess Johnny didn't get the " don't get attached" memo.
to "Jo's World": I must be older! Now the song will be an "earworm" with me all day today. hahaha
It is so nice to see feral cats given good barns to patrol. I wish that Manx had stayed long enough here to look like this pic of JohnnyCashCat. She was a beauty.
Oh my stars....Johnny is such a fortunate soul. What a darling photo. I suspect that he either has done this before with an unnamed cowgirl or Danni did her "the cat wandered into my place and they adored me immediately" like Chester and George at her place, thing. Whatever the reason....omg this is fabulous for Johnny. Me thinks that this photo tells the hearts of the woman involved even more than the cat. Love you animal lovers, Oma Linda
Remember a few months ago when you said Johnny was feral and you wouldn't get attached to him? YNow we all love him and the photos you post of him! Danni must be like Dr. Doolittle. Mom has a "feral cat" who now insists on sleeping with her at night and rules their home.
Johnny stole my heart the minute I saw him. I'm so glad to see him getting loving. He's a sweetheart and a great hunter too. And, OK, I admit it, I actually said AWWWW out loud when I saw the picture. AWWWW!
well so much for JC the 'feral' cat.. I am laughing at this pic... so sweet. i am so glad you have excellent help with your mini zoo ranch.

ReplyDeleteWarms my heart to see a formerly feral cat converted to a lap cat.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Is that your lap Johnny is snuggled in? Ahhh...I'm so happy he is so content! :-)
