Just as I was getting used to visiting JohnnyCashCat in his new home in the hay barn,
he moved on up to a deluxe apartment in the sky.
How many cats do you know that have a weekend getaway with a penthouse view?
Lucky for me, Johnny talks a lot, so it's easy to figure out where he happens to be staying at any given moment.
Johnny: Meow Meow. Feed me. Feed me.
Is he still catching things that go bump in the night? He is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteBest always,
Johnny has a cat cave with a view eh ;p
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about Johnny and seeing his sweet face almost as much as I love Wynonna updates! You got yourself a good one with this little orange cat.
ReplyDelete... so he can see you the second you step outside, I'm sure. He loves you. OK, and he's hungry. :)
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell the wonderful scent in Johnny's penthouse!
He is so beautiful to look at. I also have a healthy respect for the possibility that he could pounce at any moment...
ReplyDeletelike a feline king! the good point is that there is a continuous link between the 3 places, in case of need.
ReplyDeletedid you surprise him? he looks astonished. good that he talks with you, the communication is alive
ps: if you dont want him to catch birds, you may put him a collar with a tiny bell.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it is somewhat better for an escape pad than the spot my cat, Aja, has chosen. Her current choice for an escape location has her taking up residency in one half of the stainless steel kitchen snk. At first I tried to benevolent with dish activities, but after a week of having only one side for my use, I'm no longer so careful with the sprayer - she doesn't seem to care much if she gets a little wet. Hopefully you won't have to be creating a condo in the tree to meet Johnny's needs. They do keep us entertained.
ReplyDeleteJC has a very calm expression for a cat! Wise in many ways.
ReplyDeleteNancy in Iowa
he's beautiful in the tree and makes me wonder if he's seen some things hunting through that made him want high ground.
ReplyDeletehe looks great in his week end home, so pretty way up in those branches..
ReplyDeleteYour camera loves that face, as do we all.
ReplyDeleteMakes one wonder what convinced him to move to the tree. Surely the rabbits weren't problem neighbors? Where there are rabbits there are likely canine hunters too !?
ReplyDeleteLove the last photo and how the sun filtered thru the branches, it makes JC glow.
ReplyDeleteHe's so beautiful! I'm glad he talks to you. I have a 1/2 Oriental shorthair and believe me, SHE TALKS to me all the time~
ReplyDeleteCheryl Ann
I thought his 'new home in the sky' was kinda like a horse 'crossing the rainbow bridge'. Thanks for the heart attack! I was very happy to see pictures of him in the tree :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that Johnny's taking advantage of all that his world has to offer! Peep knows, now, where all her escape hatches are in case of danger. No doubt Johnny's doing the same research she did!
ReplyDeleteAll lookouts know that it is better to be up high. He is only fulfilling his duties and responsibilities. He is a serious hard working cat and don't you forget it! (Now go feed him to thank him for his work, he says.)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Mr.P lately?
ReplyDeleteWow, what a character and he's quite the looker, too! He reminds me of Goldilocks & the Three Bears - this one's too hot, this one's too cold, this is just right!
ReplyDeleteLike a lion in the Savannah. You scored with this feral boy.
