Sunday morning couldn't have been more glorious. No heat, no bugs...no herd?
I took my camera when I went out to find them.
Me: Enjoy it now, Lucy...that grazing muzzle is going on the second we get back to the barn.
Our trip was delayed for a few minutes while I soaked up more of the glory.
The desert 4 o'clocks look their best this time of day, even though it was about 7,
and the sunflowers were pointing their little heads eastward to watch the sun come up with us.
Ok, so maybe all of us weren't watching the sun come up.
Some of us had better things to do.
George was hugging an old fence post. I know not why.
I couldn't convince them to walk back to the barn with me, but that was okay.
I made a return trip with their fly masks and Lucy's grazing muzzle
and got to spend that much longer enjoying the glorious morning.
would it be possible to cut part of that grass and dry it for the winter?
ReplyDeleteUntil today, I didn't realize that Lucy had been in the Navy. ;-)
