I took this picture of Lucy on March 24.
She was all bundled up in her winter coat:
I will never cease to be amazed by how slowly donkeys shed their winter coats compared to horses.
Hank has been running around practically naked since mid-April, while Lucy, George and Alan
have been looking like wooly mammoths up until a week ago.
Lucy, come here, darling. Let's show the folks at home how beautiful you are under that fly mask.
Ready for the big reveal? Here it comes:
*gasp*
Hard to believe it's the same donkey, isn't it?
That's my Lucy. She's definitely ready for her close-up.
I love it!!!

ReplyDeleteCheers,

Wooly or slick, Lucy's a beauty. Love your idea for her Vogue cover.
ReplyDeleteLinda, your burros never cease to amaze me! Lucy is lovely! And, what the heck was up w/ Alan trying to take George's fly mask off (in your earlier post)? Me thinks he wanted to *see* his best buddy, clearly and not through some net. Those two have quite a bond, don't they?
ReplyDeleteLoved last weeks' posts about Wynonna's 'shower' and Johnny Cash Cat and Smooch .. I suspect they'll become friends at some point. You are a wonderful caregiver for your animals; they're so lucky to have you as their "mom".
Hope you and yours are having a great weekend!
