Since it was too cold and snowy to ride on Sunday,
what better time to turn the house upside down and inside out?
Smooch: I don't like the looks of this. At all.
Smooch: Where are you going with my bed?
Smooch: We must be having a big party and this will be the dance floor.
Why am I always the last to find out about these things?
Once I got all my bedroom furniture moved to the guest room and Smooch realized
she could guard the back yard while sitting comfortably on the bed, she stopped complaining.
Then I set up the small bed from the guest room in my bedroom and she got all confused again.
I explained that we wouldn't want that big four-poster in the way once the new doors are installed...
...and our sunroom is finished. I'm having the original builder come back to enclose half the front porch.
Construction starts right after the first of the year, and I couldn't be more excited –
a new living space and something to blog about this winter besides the weather!
In a former house, we had a porch enclosed. I don't think one single day passed where we didn't say, "Wow, isn't this GREAT?" Best of luck on your new endeavor. It will change your life. Are you putting in a heat source or are you going to make it part of the house?

ReplyDeleteSo, is winter a good time for N.M. construction? I guess it does avoid hot dusty conditions (not winter). Which compass direction does your front porch face?

Oh! I am SO excited! I put a sleeping porch off of my bedroom a couple of years ago and it is my favorite thing about my house, and my critters love it as much as I do! Rock it, Carson!

We've always dreamed of having a place that had the south face to do that. Our living room gets mighty toasty because of the El Sol in the winter. Cozy. Congrats. Oma Linda
