I really should say this more often

When I started this blog five years and 1,635 posts ago, it was just me out here, talking to myself.

As the months flew by, more and more of you started dropping in to visit,

and now I get to share my pictures and stories with a circle of friends I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined.

You love my animals, laugh at my jokes, support me in my adventures and,
unlike most places on the internet, never have an unkind word to say.

As I spend this Thanksgiving Day considering all the many things for which I am grateful, you, dear blog readers, are chief among them.
This blog wouldn't live to see another day without you. Now go eat some turkey and have a blessed day.

  11. Thank YOU, Carson. I'm one of the many who seldom leaves a comment, but I always leave your blog with a smile. I put a shortcut for it on my toolbar and it's the first thing I click on when I sit down with my coffee in the morning. I hope you and your animal family have a happy Thanksgiving. Maybe you and Lucy will have time to go for a ride. I think you're getting some of this unseasonably warm weather, too.

  21. Love the neat birdy pics! I remember making hot bran mashes and sweetfeed with extra carrots for our horses on thanksgiving. And in MN by this time it was bitter cold and the 4 foots sure loved it. I did it again at Christmas, still love that smell. Kiss Hank on the end of his nose for me, and thank you for shareing your interesting life with us.

  31. You and I are so different, but when it comes to loving our animals and caring for them we are cut from the same cloth. I visit your blog daily but only after I'm home from work, have myself and my pups fed and have settled into my spot on the end of the sofa...then I take my mini-vacay to the 7MSN Ranch. :-) Blessings to you and your babies from me and mine.

  44. Like so many others... my first cup of coffee is with 7MSN each morning. My hat's off to you for being so faithful and creative in keeping it rolling. Would you care to mention how many visitors you've had in these past several years?

  45. Carson, do you have a really big storage plan with Blooger/Picasa? You have a huge number of photos across your posts. I am being blocked from uploading files and they are demanding money to continue. I was wondering if you are having the same issue? It seems to have come up yesterday with a lot of people. They want monthly payments. Hmmm...

You are a reliable day brightener. We follow your triumphs, share your griefs, and worry if we don't hear from you for a few days.

You make us believe the internet is not the antichrist.

You extol the virtues of margaritas... I may have had too many, myself. I'll stop now.
