It rained yesterday. All. Day. Long. Cue the hallelujah choir.
Lucy and the boys never budged from the barn until around 5:00,
when the clouds finally parted and the sun came out.
when the clouds finally parted and the sun came out.
Alan was the first to discover that the barn's property value had increased exponentially
with its lakefront views and beach access.
George: WTF?
Lucy: How deep do you think it is?
Alan: Five feet, at least. Those donkeys in there can barely touch the bottom.
Well, that woke me up with the first hoot of the day!
ReplyDeletewater donkeys eh! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAgain....you furnish me with my daily laugh!! Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteSee, Carson? You were lamenting the lack of rain and VIOLA!
ReplyDeleteHalledamlujah.....rain. The shot of the three checking out the swimming hole is wonderful. Congrats...so? What's the update on the rain gauge?????
ReplyDeleteBeach balls and floatees for everyone!
ReplyDeleteWow,, how refreshing that water looks..best post this week :) Jeanne in SC
ReplyDeleteHooRay! You got to use your rain guage!
ReplyDeleteBwhahahahaha! I did not see that last caption coming! Thanks for the great laugh (and I'm glad you finally got some rain).
ReplyDeleteHooray for rain!
ReplyDeleteI love the reflections in the pictures - and of course, the Donkey's take on that!
Lucy must be getting her winter coat, look at those dark spots!
ReplyDeleteFinally, rain!! I was surprised you didn't get any that we received on Tuesday into Wednesday. But at least the donkey can now go swimming or at least wading up to the tips of their hooves. Have a great weekend to everyone.
ReplyDeleteOma Linda, the rain gauge measured .82" since Wednesday afternoon. I'm sure the Pacific Northwesterners will be snickering, but that's more in 36 hours than we've had all summer.
ReplyDeleteHow long has it been? Three months? The lake is beautiful with the donkey reflections.
ReplyDeleteRain is good for the soul!
ReplyDeletehallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. So glad you finally got some rain.
ReplyDeleteIn a week of typically hilarious captions, this was the best! I love your beasties.
ReplyDeleteHooray for finally getting rain!
ReplyDeleteWoot! You got rain!
ReplyDeleteMy that George has quite the mouth on him. (no worries, I speak it fluently) :oD
Love the reflection picture and giggling about what Alan said.
That one made me laugh out loud, thanks! It looks very refreshing for the crew there.
ReplyDeleteSnickering? (not this stuck in the PNW person) I am relieved it's YOU ( or anyone else anyWHERE else) who is getting rain.... I am loving the sun and warmth(Above average temps for the month currently) and while I am eyeballing my dried pasure askance, I know the rains will be here all to soon...and then I will be internally fussing about mud and its issues!!!
ReplyDeleteTara
'Lakefront views' - eheheheh, love the pictures and the captions!
ReplyDeleteThis is just a riot. Love those donkeys!
ReplyDeleteI search through my google reader for your wonderful posts. Loved the ones about the cones. Calling the herd in is a great shot, but these with the lakefront view are just adorable. And Hank in the back could care less, but the other three are so curious. Thanks for sharing you life with us out here (in the other part of New Mexico) Your family is so adorable,
ReplyDeletepeace n abundance,
CheyAnne
