Well, I never....really....never. That's one avant garde little mouse. Moved into the artsy part of the ranch. Sorry Smooch, I'm on her side this time.
Ok, I was all ready to say awwww, until I saw the mouse face, then I said ick... I would ivict that!
I need to take and post pics of a nest I found. I am not sure where the nest was built, found it on the ground not used. Bird used a good deal of my pinto horse's winter coat. Tara

Well, you know this makes me exceptionally happy. That's such a great picture of Smooch underneath the nest cleverly disguised as a cow skull. My, the architecture in New Mexico is really something!
I love the first pic, really great. And any mouse thats that enterprizing deserves to stay there. Nothing wrong with a little mouse making snake food. Plus it gives Smooch something to do. Great capture!
yea, Sandy, it also sounds like the "squeakel" (*snort* - I couldn't resist) to the snake stuck in the trailer hitch. (Although I don't think my child could re-enact this one, Linda).
PS: didn't know mice could crawl up walls that well...
I know that you know more about these things than I do .. but are you sure its a cow skull? with the curved horns it looks like a ram's head .. sort of. Not like I know anything about these things or anything ... the last skeleton I found was a plastic one at a yardsale. ;-)
