Calm,Forward,Straight - this post has some close-up pictures of the snake pole and a link to Mikey's post about how to make it. http://www.the7msnranch.com/2010/06/smooch-and-her-imaginary-friend.html
Love that pic, it makes me laugh. That's my expression too, lol. I made another one of those poles for a lady who lives way out in the desert by herself. She'd been wrangling rattlers out of her yard with a 4' hook, and she said some of the snakes are 4' long, so they make her nervous about doing that. She loves her new pole, at 8' long, she was able to wrangle a nice speckled rattler the other day and relocate it. Hope you and your friend have a wonderful visit. Can't wait to see what y'all get up to :)
OK, I was just telling my sister yesterday how much I like snakes. I've also commented here, I'm sure, that I've picked up many snakes over the years - 2 last summer that my cat brought to me. I've also held part of an 80# articulated Burmese python - don't worry, someone else held the other half! But - I DO NOT LIKE THE ONE YOUR FRIEND WRANGLED!!!
Ha, a remember that picture well! Have a good time and share some of your moments with us.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear what kind of trouble you two get into this time!
ReplyDeleteCarson-
ReplyDeleteHa - great picture!
Did you make that snake wrangling thingy? If so, are there directions on how I can make one too?
It's water moccasin season around here, and I like to give the snakes an option to be relocated...
This picture is so funny. Have a good week. Nothing like spending time with someone who really knows you.

THAT is the friend that is coming back? Is she crazy?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for updates !!
I don't think I could hold the pole...I really don't. Snakes just give me the jeepers creepers, especially when they're wriggling around :p
ReplyDeleteThat photo is priceless! That truly is a bestie friend that is willing to wrangle snakes! You guys are going to have so much fun!
