Sleeping in
Today is the first day of a week's vacation for me and I slept in. For 15 minutes. The sound of Wynonna hrmphing loudly at the door became too much to endure. I won't be going to some exotic destination – my idea of the perfect vacation is staying right here, riding Lucy every day, catching up on some projects, going to the airport to pick up a guest...that kind of stuff.
I won't be taking a vacation from taking pictures, ergo I'll have to keep blogging because what else would I do with the pictures? But I may throw up a post whenever I feel like it instead of 6 a.m. Eastern time. Or not. I'm on vacation and can do whatever I want.

Have a wonderful week and have LOTS of FUN....may you and Lucy have some exciting rides. Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh, a guest !! That's always good for some great pics and blogs :)
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays and enjoy your well deserved time off. Why do I think this will be a working holiday? Kicking down trees, looking after animals, however it's not work if you love it. Life is good!
ReplyDeleteBest always, Sandra
Good for you for taking a well deserved staycation. sounds like fun just hanging out, going for a ride or two or several. Have a great time with your guest.
ReplyDeleteI love stay-cations. I never understood the need to go somewhere else, especially since everything has to be perfect, both inside and out, before you leave. Just in case you are robbed, or you decided to bring back guests (not that either every happened to my family.) But such is not to be. I must go away again this year and all must be perfect. I am already dreading the late nights leading up to the departure, the exhaustion while on vacation - because you must see this or that, and the resulting exhaustion when I get back to unpack and make everything perfect again. Because dust will accummulate and grass will grow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great feeling, to be on vacation and do whatever you want - er, well, as long as it's what Wynonna wants, too...
ReplyDelete(heh)
And you're a woman after my own heart - your perfect vacation sounds amazingly similar to my perfect vacation.
Funny, that. :-)
Gorgeous light.
ReplyDeleteReally like the black and white with the shadow. Enjoy your vacation and your company. I agree..stay at homes are the best.
ReplyDeleteI wondered where you were this morning!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely right, do whatever you feel like doing and make the most of your vacation.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation at the perfect destination....
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I was a little worried when I checked in at 8 AM CT. You deserve a vacation with your critters and have fun with your guest!
ReplyDeleteLove that black and white shot! Enjoy your time off and your extra 15 minutes of sleep!
ReplyDeleteOh Wynonna, don't be so cruel, give Rancher Woman a break!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of a vacation, have fun!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you were sleeping in -- I waved loudly at your mailbox on my way to Estancia -- love taking the back way. Have a great week off.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you're enjoying some vacation time with your critters. I was thinking the same thing - if (maybe when...) we get our new house, I don't think I'll be leaving to go on vacation much anymore. I'll be exactly where I want to be and have been waiting years to get to.
ReplyDeleteJeal-lous!!!!! can't wait for some fun guest posts as well....
ReplyDeletebut I need to know what I am going to do while I'm drinking my coffee if you don't post early.... geez.... don't you know it is all about me :)
enjoy your week.... you deserve it!
Enjoy your vacations but update the blog regularly.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful vacation and do whatever you want. Like you, I don't (can't) sleep in...sigh...but I DO take an afternoon nap!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time away from your job. Sleep in as late as your want and post your blog entry whenever your ready.
ReplyDeleteENJOY!
ReplyDeleteAND: Yesterday my fabulous photo of the dear donkeys arrived. I've been carrying it from room to room, but it will be hung in my sunny studio where Hank and Alan and Lucy will oversee the cleanup that must be done before the sewing and crafting can begin.
Thank you again!
