Well, if you're running, there must be something that you're running from. :) Thus, everyone must run. The slowest member of the herd gets eaten. Cool thing to have on your camera! Definitely a must in the dusty climate.

I was at a horse show last weekend and there were lots of little kids running around with their miniature horses on "leashes." It occurred to me that all you need for your herd is one of those little darlings running around. Did you get up early just to catch the light for us? Or do you do that all the time? Thank you.
The lighting is fabulous! I'm always amazed that they walk in a line on the same path when there is so much open space. The last photo is so funny. Agh!!! Run for your life. :) Alan is the only one that looks like he knows it's you. This was fun to see.
LOVE how the camera picked up the outline of light around each of them in that first picture! Your pictures are getting positively artistic with that new camera!
You said 16 hooves, and I immediately had to mentally do the math! Sheesh, 4x4. Then I went on to count 8 ears, 4 tails with accompanying cute butts, a cloud of dust, and one sun orb on the last pic.
Your photos are beautiful and I can just feel the terrain, and hear the clop of those hooves. Also, feeling the sneeze factor... :-)
