George holds a grudge

I didn't think I'd have a post for you today, as yesterday was the obligatory "go to town for the monthly work meeting day." The mere act of putting together an outfit to wear in public sapped whatever creative energy I might have possessed. The crew from "What Not To Wear" would have been appalled.

Anyway, by the time I got home, all I wanted to do was hang out with Lucy and the boys.

Me: George, if you would just perk up your ears this would be the perfect silhouette.

George: You were gone all day. What's there to be perky about?

Me: Hey, somebody around here has to pay the bills.
Don't hold it against me for leaving you on your own one day out of thirty.

Burros can and do hold a grudge.
I'll leave it to your imagination to hear what George was saying to me here.

  1. I'd kill for a once a month meeting. We just finished having meetings every hour.

Poor George. I say next time take him with.

  2. Oh... I think he was asking you to kiss something... his lips perhaps?

  4. I have the same problem--I'd much rather be in jeans, boots, and sweatshirt than my "school clothes." My hubby wants to see a photo of the going-to-town outfit (so we can send it to WNTW!).

  5. Could he be saying Kiss My A..? Bad George! Where'd he learn that kind of language? :)

  6. As I sit here in my jeans that are over a decade old and have awkward stitching holding the rips in the knees together, so they don't get even larger, I had to chuckle thinking about your choice of clothes for 'go to meeting' day! My wardrobe and my clothing choices have become appalling with retirement!

Poor George... and the others. They just don't get it!

  7. That George has a real potty mouth!

I always say that I'm going to turn myself in to What Not To Wear and I'd throw away all of my clothes before they even got here. I can pick out clothes for someone else but never myself. My husband says it's because I don't shop enough!

I have an every-other-month meeting and pretty much wear the same thing...(jeans, boots, and a sweater set) I know it... do you think the OTHERS notice it too?

Hummmm, might have to get a new sweater outfit this spring!

Working from home sure does change how I shop for me! Everything pretty much comes UPS for the equine and dogs!!

  13. Tryin to explain to a burro about earning hay money is kinda tricky. I know about burro grudges...they can last awhile...but they always end up forgiving you in the end. :)
