Me: Hey, everybody, come on over here. Let's see if we can take a nice family portrait.
Alan: Hurry up, George, before Lucy gets here. You know she'll try to hog the spotlight.
Me: Don't you two look handsome!
But I still want to get everybody in the picture.
Me: Three out of four's not bad. Where's Hank?
Lucy: Who needs Hank? My ears alone fill the frame.
George: Here he comes.
George: Wake me up when he gets here.
Me: Pretend you like each other and move closer together.
George, since when are you camera-shy?
George, since when are you camera-shy?
Me: We've lost Alan. Could someone please get his attention?
Me: I give up. We'll try again another day.
Can't say you didn't try Carson, but they seem just like children ... contrary!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of when my boys were little and we were trying to get a decent Christmas card photo. LOL. I always had to threaten them that if they didn't cooperate, I would make them get dressed up another time and we'd do it again. (Back in the day before digital cameras...)
ReplyDeleteNot quite as easy as putting them in a nice sit/stay like you can a few dogs ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow'bout a carrot bribe. They might line up if there is a treat behind the scene. Best of luck.
ReplyDeleteSincerely, Sandra
Hmmm cookies work with the pack o' beagles here but I'm not sure it will have the same impact with your herd. Better luck next time!
ReplyDeleteMy dream is to get all five Boyz and Gracie lined up nicely next to each other, all looking at the camera, ears up, eyes open... for a picture. I wonder if that'll ever happen?
ReplyDeleteThe thought, "Herding Cats" comes to mind here. The pic of the boys standing shoulder to shoulder is calendar worthy.
ReplyDeleteAGAIN, a belly laugh, good thing I'm not in a public place. The expressions kill me.....George and Alan, WHAT A PAIR. What a great way to start the day...thanks Hugs to all
ReplyDeleteI think I lost my comment! I was just sayin' that back in the day, the only way I was able to get all my cats in one picture was with cans of tuna. Don't know if that helps at all! Love George and Alan's intense interest in the fence.
ReplyDeleteI love CeeCee's comment of - The thought, "Herding Cats" comes to mind here. hehe Yeah, trying to get a shot of everyone (posing) without a helper is hard. I still loved each and every picture.
ReplyDeleteAh ha ha ha! Very funny shots and commentary. The third picture (the one with the great shot of Alan's curly ear hair) makes my heart go pitter-pat. :-)
ReplyDeleteJust as bad as family holidays, one time when you arent trying for a good group they will make a perfect one! Such a batch of charatures, make me smile every day. Thnaks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteLucy and the boys have such interesting hair patterns. How fascinating to have a crown on the front of their faces. Does Hank's shorter hair form a crown on the front of his face?
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy checking to see what Lucy and the boys are up too. I love your interpretation of them, it cracks me up!!
