So there I was braggin' on my new camera yesterday. That will teach me. The darned thing stopped working. I'd barely taken a hundred pictures when I started getting scary error messages. Turns out I need to update the firmware, which requires a working card reader, which I don't happen to have. Bummer.
I hope to get this resolved quickly, but in the meantime, I will use it as an excuse to take a few days off. See you next year.
Happy New Year to all at the 7msn!
ReplyDeleteI have one that came bundled with camera accessories, but I have no idea what purpose it serves. Perhaps you can enlighten me.
ReplyDeleteBummer..... See ya next year though!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer and how frustrating for you! When you spend the big bucks, you expect to get something that doesn't have problems like this. You certainly deserve a bit of vacation, but we'll miss you and hope the problem is quickly resolved. In the meantime, happy New Year to you and the herd!
ReplyDeleteBummer! What a pain with a brand new camera, but taking a break is always good. Good luck with the firmware update and.....
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Happy New Year!!!!!!!! And THANK YOU for this wonderful blog!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMight your computer have a card reader built in? Lots of them have had built-in card readers for the last five years or so.
ReplyDeleteI hope they can get your camera straightened out asap! Nothing like not having one to show you a million pics you want to take!
Well -- that's just not right. I hope you can get off the ranch some time this weekend to pick up a card reader.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful New Year, Carson,
Good luck with the new camera, Linda, and a Happy New Year to you !
ReplyDelete( I'm having 7MSN withdrawl pains ! )
Happy New Year to all! I'll probably be walking sideways, dropping things, or just staring into space without my morning fix of 7MSN news...is there such a thing as 'Blog Readers Anonymous' out there for withdrawal emergencies??? ;) Since I haven't been around here all that long, I might look around some older posts and deepen my appreciation for your little family and all that you do to care for them...of which I am already, totally in awe.
ReplyDeleteSee you next year and have a good New Year's Eve. Hugs to the kids
ReplyDeleteTake your vacation with our blessing. Happy New Year to all two and four legged critters at the 7MSN from the two and four legged critters at my house.
ReplyDeleteBonne Annee, Carson!
ReplyDeleteAmities, Sandra
Ohhhh noooooooo - 7MSN withdrawal coming on! Here's hoping you get your camera fixed really, really quickly. Meanwhile, have a happy new year and please tell the critters not to do anything that begs to be photographed until the camera is back in service!
ReplyDeleteIt is a major part of Murphy's Law that the further you live from stores, the more likely it is that when you buy something there will be missing parts that require a trip to the store. Around here fixing cars requires at least 3 trips no matter how well you plan. Hardware is easier for home jobs now because there's an ACE Hardware 5 miles up the road. I don't even know where I'd go for camera parts, probably just order them online. Good luck with that. (And why, WHY, can't they sell us stuff that is totally ready to go?)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and the crew :)
ReplyDeleteOn the camera... I am finding it frustrating how many things are now bought, brand new, and need an update of some sort before you can use them.
Sorry about the new camera. But enjoy your time off. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteOooooh, I remember this non-working card reader!! Damnitall -That is soooo frustrating!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe for your next post, you could just *weigh* your camera and give us this fascinating little stat. I know that I, for one, would be most interested to know this info. lol
;-)
Happy New Year, Carson!
Happy New Year!! to all at 7MSN. Love for Oz.
