Bernard had been over to play once before, but this was Ellsworth's first visit.
The introductions were completely uneventful, and everybody got along famously all day...
...despite what you may think from photos like these.
The kicks are just for show – really!
Donkey play is not a full-contact sport, at least where this group is concerned.
Hank stood around with the two-leggeds most of the time, watching the show...
and looking exceptionally handsome. He rises to the occasion in the face of stiff competition.
What was Miss Lucy doing while all the boys were showing off?
Getting ready for her close-up...which I'll show you tomorrow.
It's a big ear festival! Loved this!
ReplyDeleteEvery photo you post solidifies my desire to see NM.
What a lovely way to spend the day..with friends and critters. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of the days actions. Have ANOTHER great day.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a great day! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have long eared visitors to 7MSN. All looked very happy to have play mates. And I bet you and their Momma had a super visit.
ReplyDeleteThat's very cute; like a donkey day care center at your place. They all looked like they were enjoying the day. Hank looks gorgeous as the activities director.
ReplyDeleteWow, all four (five?)burros went over to visit you and your family with their maw and paw and, for sure, they all got a kick out of it and enjoyed every minute during their visit with you all.
ReplyDeleteMy mistake, it was just two of them; Ellsworth and Bernard and the rest stayed home...Betcha that they were on Cloud 9!
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like it was a fun day for all! I'm sure the burro boys agree with the old saying...the more-the merrier! :)
ReplyDeleteI would be in longearred heaven with all of them. Will Fergus, Nigel and Patrick be joining the rest of the gang at some point for a play date? Hank is handsome as ever.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Bernard is guarding the cone in the first photo.Should be a good week on this blog, I'll be sure to check every day.

Such fun on the ranch ... instead of doggie playdates you have donkey and burro playdates! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOK..so which ones were burros and which ones were donkeys? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWish I could have been there! I hope you got some videos, too. They look like they definitely are in heaven on earth - and Hank is very handsome!
ReplyDeleteNancy in Iowa
Lucy was probably telling you how lucky you both are not to be boys. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm new to this blog, but I may be in love with Lucy. She looks so innocent and beautiful! Love the photos!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, those are some handsome boys. :D
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful day - it was perfect, as always. It's still so surreal to see B&E in photos at 7MSN.
How fun! I'm sure she was the hostess with the mostess. (Is that even a word?)
ReplyDeleteHank is one handsome fella! The backdrop is pretty awesome too!
ReplyDeleteYou get such great colors in these photos.
