Oh my goodness-so wish I were looking at this in real life!! Breathtaking-and does Hank know how lucky he is to see it-no I think not!! But I know you do at least!!~~Rain
I certainly was pulling for him. He is a beauty as well as your photography. But....in my opinion, he does not need to win a contest for us all to know that!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I sometimes wonder what others see?? just sayin'
Sooo glad however, he was a finalist and a true contender!!
I always think it's unfair to group professional photos in with those that don't do it for a living. Just sayin. Hank wouldn't want to be famous anyway. He likes his laid back, herd leader life.
Beautiful shot. I am not a PW fan anyway, but her photo contests don't make much sense to me at all. Too many professional photographers in the bunch, too much emphasis on cute and sweet. Your photos are incredible, stunning, and much better off right here with us, your biggest fans:-)) Besides, Hank cannot go off to claim his fame because who would he leave in charge of the gang?
*LOVED* AutumnSkyRanch's comment. Couldn't have said it better myself. That's an absolutely breath-taking shot - truly. Now I do have a question. How in the world did you ever choose which photo to submit to this contest? I'm positive that you have hundreds, if not thousands, of amazing, stunning Hank shots - if it had been me, I don't know that I ever could have chosen just one.
i was happy to see hank in that contest (twice?) but i couldn't help noticing how out of all her contests, the horse one was full of the worst photos. i think the professional ones were nice but even some of the finalists were just awful. the one that won? good grief that fence!
PW contests that include the sweet and tender are the best - people and kittens and flowers. and bokeh.
as horse people we have standards for horse photography. i think most of the people who submitted photos were not horse people. PW certainly is not. (she identified a horse as a donkey in a previous contest. the horse looked nothing like a donkey.)
your photos were atmospheric and honest. you shoulda won.
You take amazing photos.... I just love them all! This one of Hank has got to be one of your best. Thanks for sharing your world with us and keep up the good work!
That is truly an awesome picture!

Fantastic shot! I think he shoulda won the PW photo contest. He's still tops in my book! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing but I am so PROUD when a photo of yours shows up in PW's site
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being a finalist. Give Hank a hug from me.
Hank, dude...you don't need no stinkin' contest to prove you're a hunk. We love ya!

ReplyDeleteHave to agree with what AutumnSky said....
ReplyDeleteAnd I popped in to comment because I wanted to say that I think this is one of my all time fav photos here at the 7MSN :)
Truly gorgeous photo, Linda. Great job! Of course, your model and location certainly enhance your photographic efforts!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful, serene photo; one of your best.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most beautiful horse photos I have ever seen. It should be hanging in a gallery.
