I took the pictures below around 9:00 on Sunday morning. I was wearing shorts. I'm not sure what the weatherman says when "unseasonably warm" just won't do, but I'm sure he was saying it this weekend.
I set up a solar-heated water tank for the boys on Saturday, which I'll show you later in the week. Meanwhile, I'll leave you with this picture. If you roll your mouse over it about a hundred times, you'll get a sense of how much Hank enjoyed slurping out of his new toy.
In my neck of the woods we had unseasonably COLD, and it's going to get worse. We also had snow and wind. Oooooh well ..........
ReplyDeleteYour pictures of all the boys are grand, but my favorite is the last one of Hank ... I got a BIG kick out of that one!!!
If it was"unseasonably warm plus, wasn't the solar heated water pasta-cooking-worthy?
ReplyDeleteI used to have a horse and I must say they are some of the sloppiest drinkers around. Does yours drink and then lift his head and let a bunch of water back out of his mouth? Suzanne :)
ReplyDeleteHank has cute chin whiskers.
ReplyDeleteDi
It was gorgeous... simply gorgeous!!! :D
ReplyDeleteTo Snappy Di: It's so wonderful to find a place where the phrase "cute chin whiskers" actually works!
ReplyDeleteLove the weather report in pictures. We have about two inches of snow on the ground, flurrying this morning. Cold now.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your unseasonably warm. Your winter was rough last year. Maybe this one will be a bit more moderate.
The solar heated water thing will totally spoil the boys, as it should, and make your winter life easier too. Bonus!
No need to apologize. You do put up with some other kinds of difficult weather, so you deserve unseasonably wonderful stuff once in a while!
ReplyDeleteYes, it has been unseasonably warm for November and December. At least in the Denver Metro area. We could use some of the moisture from back East.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Hank. I love the whiskers on horses and the way they drink. They always seem like they want to nuzzle you with a wet, sloppy nose.
Those are great photo's of all the boys. Hank always looks soooo white!
ReplyDeleteHappy for all of you! It was sunny and crisp over here. Frankly, I'm happy if it's not raining.
ReplyDeleteA heated water tank. Awesome! You should get your own tv show.
That last bit was way too much fun this early in the morning...hehehe. Happy good weather Monday to ya girl. The Olde Bagg, Linda
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone enjoyed the weekend weather there! If we were to have just one weekend like that, it should melt the 2+ feet of snow we have here.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the solar water heater post. They've been on my "list" now, for a couple of years.
hahahhahah ....and the faster you move it....the more fun he has....I think I saw him grin there for a second.....
ReplyDeleteI love your burros. Have you ever thought about adopting some llamas and alpacas? The llamas and burros could form a coalition and become your ranch security system.
ReplyDeleteLol at that last picture. Can't wait to see the solar setup!
ReplyDeleteIt has been nice, hasn't it? 78 degrees here yesterday. I took my clothes off! (see my blog, lol)
I know my guys were hanging out in the shade. They probably wish they weren't sporting such wooly coats right now. We were told we'll be staying in the mid 70's this week. Love the last photo of Hank! Boy, did I have fun with that one! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I am soooo jealous!
ReplyDeleteWe are at minus 6 centigrade, with 2 feet of snow, going up to 8 feet in drifts. my horses are slurping snowballs as I type...
haha I love Hank. Those pics of him slurping we so good!
ReplyDeleteI need a life! I had too much fun rolling the mouse over that last picture!
ReplyDeleteCleveland is cold and snowy so I'm a little jealous.
I just love that picture of Hank! Unseasonably warm! Then why am I so cold?? Jeez, I really can wait for winter- it can stay warm, please!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Pineapple Express is upon us and we are having t-storms, high winds, hail, rain and did I say high winds? People in Seattle are pretending they never drove in rain and are actively looking for someone or something to run their car into! Idiots!
