Since we're rolling around anyway, I'm implementing a new blog feature today. Whenever you see this hand/mouse icon on a photo, you can roll your mouse between the image and the margin to alternate between the straight-out-of-the-camera and Photoshopped versions. I'll include a brief recipe of my post-processing steps for whomever might be interested. Instead of doing a weekly "Touch-it-up Tuesday" post, those who want a little dose of Photoshop can get it every day. Ok? Ok.

Deets, on a roll

Deets is learning 'the roll' from his pasture companions, or did they learn from him? Mmmm .....
ReplyDeleteLove the roll over mouse thingie ... very interesting to see the before/after.
Roll on, Deets.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I'm liking the tutorial.
He has been watching the donkey boys way too much.lol.
ReplyDeleteLove that whole rolling mouse change-a-photo thingy you've got going on.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I have Corel but haven't taken the time to really learn it. I've been experimenting with Picnick and having a lot of fun but I can see how really learning the features in a more subtle manner can really add interest to the photographs.
ReplyDeleteI love the mousey thingy. Its totally geeky!
ReplyDeleteDeets is so cool that dirt doesn't really stick to him, does it?
(lol on Smooch's twitter on the coyotes, btw. have you seen the site on coyote protection? My dad (also in NM) is being over run with pack rats and mice because someone near by has been trapping all the coyotes.... http://www.projectcoyote.org/)
Thank you doing these steps. I think I learn by example the best. So I understand the steps when I see the before and after. Now if I could just find someone to hold my camera and say, "see turn this button here because of...."
ReplyDeleteThank you also Deets for another nice pose.
Good thing Deets didnot roll over any rocks eh? ;-)

Beautiful natural portrait of Deets being himself. The photoshop tutorials are the bomb.
ReplyDeleteYou're really putting the challenges out there, you know that? I'm starting to feel that I need to "embrace" my camera and learn it's settings....instead of just the point & shoot that I usually do... My Tinkerbell is Deets in female form - and get this, she's solid white w/electric blue eyes... we should hook 'em up!
ReplyDeleteI love that roll over mouse feature and seeing the photo before and after! Almost as cool as Deets' "roll over"!
ReplyDeleteWay too cool!
ReplyDeleteAnd Deets is adorable, "Photoshopped" or not!
Breathe - that projectcoyote.org site is too cool! Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteLots of rolling going on there, aren't there? That third pic made me laugh out loud - flat on his back, really flat ... just look at his back feet! And loving the before/after effect, you are so crafty! (is that an english word, by the way?)
ReplyDeleteYou are flip floppin' awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've read the tutorial but don't know if I want to dedicate the time to try it.
Maybe you can work up a tutorial for the mouseover. I like your approach of teaching.
Thanks!
Wow. This is very high tech and impressive. Deets looks like he'd enjoy a belly rub. Does he like those?
ReplyDeleteHeaven...I'm in heaven! Thanks for all the PS stuff. Someday some of it will start sticking in my little pea brain. Love the mouse!
ReplyDeletedirt baths....gotta love the animal logic...not so good for grandsons but who's gonna convince him either. hehe, says The Olde Bagg
ReplyDeleteLove the new header! I miss home.
ReplyDeleteCool new feature. :)
Awesome Deets photos! The mouseover is really cool!
ReplyDeleteAhh. Looks like I will be mousin' around your site a little more....THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteWhere DO you learn about this stuff?
The third picture makes me want to kiss him.
ReplyDeleteyou seriously amaze me.......and to think, I am not having to pay to see such incredible photograpy!
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't understand anything about what you said in regard to Photoshop, but...What I do know is---DEETS is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHehe I love that new geeky mousey thing!
ReplyDeleteDoes Deets know you're sharing his more goofy side with the rest of the world? And will he forgive you if he finds out? :)
