When will one of the chickens lay the inaugural 7MSN Ranch egg?
You don't have to guess which came first, the chicken or the egg –
(somebody just figured that out) (it was the chicken) –
(somebody just figured that out) (it was the chicken) –
You just have to guess which day and at what time I will find the first egg.
Guess correctly and you could win a $125 gift certificate to csn|stores, sponsor of this giveaway

May all the tears I cried for my Pasha weigh in the balance for Deets' return... (I know, off subject)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big the girls have gotten, and it sure looks like they've found a good roosting place in your bench.
ReplyDeleteThose chickens look like beanbags, the way they plop down on something and overflow on both sides of it! The look like they are ready for the contest!
ReplyDeleteStill sending hopeful thoughts your way for Deets' safe return to your castle.
ReplyDeleteDeets, please come home already!
ReplyDeleteAlright, I wasn't going to guess but I'll play along.
ReplyDeleteAugust 2nd, 8:08 PM. My daughters Birthday.
Missing Deets ... but yeah, you've probably heard that enough already.
Your girls look fat and happy! You should have some beautiful eggs soon. Still keeping my fingers crossed for Deets safe return.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed and praying for Deets. Terrier toes are crossed this way as well.
ReplyDeleteIs that all the girls? Only 3? Have a good day & know I've still got my fingers crossed for ur roaming tomboy.
ReplyDeleteLook how big they are! Those combs and wattles are so bright red. It should be SOON!!!
ReplyDeleteStill praying for Deets safe return home.
August 6th - my first day of holidays!
ReplyDeleteThe question might be more "where" you will find the eggs than "when"..... those girls are hanging their butts over every possible container, ledge and perch... check that flower pot!
ReplyDelete...adding my hopes for Deet's return.... c'mon Deets.... get back home where you belong...
Haven't got a clue, but your ladies are loverly :o)
ReplyDeleteOkay, August 3rd at 7a.m. (no idea, really, but I sure did like those boots!).
You've got some nice looking girls there. They sure look like they're ready to get down to egg laying business! Is that their favorite chair? LOL
ReplyDeleteStil sending good vibes out to Deets.
my guess for the first egg is Aug 4th 6:15 am. and i thinking Deets will be done with his rambling by Sunday. we have 4 cats at the barn and they will leave for a day or five and always come home safe and sound. for a second guess chance i'm thinking i would have to get something with a horse theme to it.
ReplyDeletewe have a few hens about the same age as yours and no eggs yet for us either.
The girls are gorgeous chicks. Do they still get weekly polish? I have no need of the prize for guessing, but will enjoy watching the contest.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, keeping Deets in mind. Hope he comes home sassy and strutting.
Beautiful birds. Your eggs will always be fresh. We have a new bylaw whereby you can now keep chickens in the back yard but no roosters (I wonder why?) ha ha!
ReplyDeleteBest always, Sandra
My goodness, how they've grown! They look like poster girls for Chicken Cluck Weekly. Every little feather in place.
ReplyDeleteOh....I see, they've been airbrushed. Figures. All the top models have that done before appearing in print.
They look so calm and contented that my arms want to reach into the monitor and pick one up for cuddling!!!

i have a question for you about the chics. we have 3 hens and one rooster. don't you need a rooster for your hens to lay eggs? i know those of you that know this already are thinking dah...but that will not stop me from asking
ReplyDeleteAugust 14th. Don't know what time. Let's say, 6:15 AM.
ReplyDeleteI've already left a comment on your Tuesday post, but will say again 8/7/10 at 7:00 A.M.! And...the egg will probably be under the cushion of a chair instead of the nesting box :) I love to watch chickens and have a few good pics of them....
ReplyDeleteI am going to say August 9th because that is the day that the new barn gets started! Time.... hummmm..... how about 8:30 a.m.??
ReplyDeleteNice little garden ornaments there, they are growing so fast. Sure looks like they are ready any minute now ...
