Come on, you guys! Liven it up, would you?
You're going to disappoint a lot of people if you don't get with the program.
You're going to disappoint a lot of people if you don't get with the program.
I went back in the house and was confronted with my next dilemma - I was hungry, tired, and not very motivated to spend time processing these pictures so they would look their very best on your monitors. But I figured if I posted them straight out of the camera - no cropping, no color correction, no tweaking whatsover - I'd have a built-in topic for another post. Sometime next week I'll edit this group of photos, showing you the befores and afters and what I did to make them look better.
No matter what Carson, you always come through and I enjoyed the pictures of everyone trying to give it their all.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was a hard day to get motivated around here too ... although I tried to push myself, not much was accomplished by the end of the day.
We are easy to please. A cat sitting on a burro may be old news to you but is very interesting to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd a post next week showing how you work with your pictures. Yeahhh, I can't wait. I am always wondering what you did.
Oh . . . you know . . . your gang doesn't have to do anything special to be view-worthy...
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Linda, take a day off if you like! In fact, take two! I sure do. Every now and then you need a break.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like all is peaceful on 7MSN, at the end of another long day. A good thing.
I am very glad the gang cooperated and allowed you to take their photo! Deets makes riding a donkey very comfy :p

Oh my god that last pic kills me!! Lol, that cat on George is priceless!
ReplyDeleteDamn fine job making something from nothing. As much as I enjoy these straight from the camera shots I can't wait to see what your creative eye does with them.
ReplyDeleteI see nothing wrong with them now.
ReplyDeleteAlan's dirty nose is adorable. I just love your critters no matter what they are up to (or not). Looking forward to the before and after shots.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you posted something. When ever you miss a day we always think the worse. So please even if you have nothing to say at least post one picture so we know all is well at 7MSN ranch.
ReplyDeletelove deets on george :) i love seeing the burros daily on my calendar :)can you believe it is JUNE already!
ReplyDeleteI liked the pictures anyway. The barnyard furry fellows always make my day.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I need more Hank photos. I'm a big Hank fan. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I don't know how you do keep up with it every day. I hereby give you a coupon for one day off! (redeemable any time)
And look at that - you ended up with a post and something to follow up on. :) Can't wait to see the comparison shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the post. I have always been impressed with your daily postings. I look forward to cranking up the computer and checking out you blog. I have often wondered how you have the time and energy to get the pictures, arrange them, label them, etc. Now I am super impressed that you spend even more time making each picture the best it can be! You are an over achiever for sure!!!! (Actually, there is no such thing as an over achiever...you either achieve or you don't...so you must be a super achiever!)
ReplyDeleteYippee, photography lessons coming up--can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAs much as we would miss you, I also give you permission to take a couple of days! Lay back, play, enjoy the sun, drink margarita's... however you like to relax - JUST DO IT! But, plz warn us....if you don't, I'll be thinking about snakes & coyotes, etc....
ReplyDeleteEven when they are doing "nothing", they are still adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove Deets' "perch" on George's back!
ReplyDeleteWhere was the Porcupine Princess? Oh, I know, her highness was relaxing. LOL I love your photos and captions Linda. You deserve to take a day off or two from blogging, just let us know in advance so we won't think the worse.
ReplyDeleteI think they are great photos! They don't need any touch-ups in my books. Love that donkey nose! They are so kissable. :)
ReplyDeleteThey look great just the way they are.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I would miss you & your herd very much if you were to take a day off now and then, I highly recommend it. It can be very liberating. Kind of like breaking plates in a Greek restaurant.
Just as I am admiring the photos, thinking "Dang that woman can shoot photos!! Look at the light, the angles, the composition..." and then you're saying they're the BEFORE shots??? Geez. The AFTERs are gonna be sumethin!
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOOOOOOOO...thank you for that! A lesson from the master will be greatly appreciated!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the photo editing lesson!
ReplyDeleteThese picture are really nice and you know we like what's on them more than the perfection of the photos itself. You already have the perfect subjects:)))
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm happy with just a long ear here and a sandy burro nose there. No action needed. And a curly tail now and then ... then I'm really happy.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of potential with all of these photos. I especially like the one with Alan's nose covered in dirt. There is a lot of processing potential with that one! Can't wait to see the 'afters'

Hey- if you take a day off we'll still be here!
ReplyDeleteI just have this sneaking feeling that they were playing it cool andwhen you went into the house utter hilarity unsued. I'll bet they're STILL snickering.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone is entitled to a day off, however we will miss your pictures! What do you use to edit pictures? I never do mine cause it seems like a lot of work, cant wait for the afters.
ReplyDeleteyour animals don't need to be doing anything interesting to give me a smile. You always capture the best expressions. And since the only animal I have right now is a cat......I love just looking at yours and pretending I was there.....
ReplyDeleteTHANKS for all your hard work to keep us happy....but cut yourself some slack some time and don't worry about the guilt!!!!
There is no finish line to blogging.
ReplyDeleteWe are, as someone else posted up there, pretty darn easy to please. Your pictures (edited or not) are always fun to scroll through. I usually only post on our blog once a week, but I still missed last week's post between DD's graduation, a trip to Florida (hers) and the end of the school year (mine).
ReplyDeleteLove that last shot of George and the cat - too funny :o)
Love that last shot! It made me smile!
