Making something out of nothing

I hate it when it gets to be about 7 pm and I've got nothin' for the next day's post. I suppose I could skip a day and not post, but the guilt and admonition just isn't worth it. So when faced with this scenario last night, I grabbed the camera, went outside, and told everybody "do something."

Smooch said she was still too tired from Sunday's hike to do anything.

Hank walked around with a mouthful of hay.

Alan dug a hole and got his nose dirty.

Come on, you guys! Liven it up, would you?
You're going to disappoint a lot of people if you don't get with the program.

George stood around being patient...

...really patient.

I went back in the house and was confronted with my next dilemma - I was hungry, tired, and not very motivated to spend time processing these pictures so they would look their very best on your monitors. But I figured if I posted them straight out of the camera - no cropping, no color correction, no tweaking whatsover - I'd have a built-in topic for another post. Sometime next week I'll edit this group of photos, showing you the befores and afters and what I did to make them look better.
