Surely you've all seen this commercial, which I posted last year on Superbowl Sunday. But just in case you haven't, it bears repeating. I'd be embarrassed to tell you how many times I've watched it.
Football is not my favorite sport, but I'll be watching the Superbowl today just to see what my favorite Clydesdales are up to this year. I've read that there will be three different spots featuring these giants.
And maybe there will be one or two other memorable commercials...like this next one, which is another of my all-time favorites.
Enjoy the game.
Love it! I forgot about that commercial. Bud does make the best commercials for the SB.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I just knew to put down my coffee cup and I'm glad I did!!! A couple of good laughs to start the week end ... thanks Carson!
ReplyDeleteI must have been under a rock...I've never seen that Budweiser commercial! But come to think of it, I don't think I watched the Superbowl last year. Anyway, thanks for sharing, it was great.
ReplyDeleteIt's the only reason I watch the SB. Usually, I'm off doing something else and they call me for the commercials. Unless the Cowboys are playing, in which case detailed game knowledge is required for water cooler chatter for the following 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteHa haa!!! Thank you for the laugh Linda! I remember them both well too. Funny how with the cat herding video you really don't remember who it's sponsered by.
ReplyDeleteAll the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials are great, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteFirst time I have seen the donkey one. I loved it. A little donkey with big dreams.
ReplyDeleteDUH .... guess you've been watching those "best of the best" commercials (I heartily agree) just a little too long. The Super Bowl is *tomorrow*! Go Colts. (Pierre Garcon played football at my tiny college in Ohio.)
ReplyDeleteYou know that we all love it too. This has got to be one of the cutest commercials of all time. Can't wait to see tomorrow's Clydesdale commercial.
ReplyDeleteThe first one almost made me cry... the donkey is so so cute and when he lowers his ears one by one.. just way too cute. Thank you for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteI love that commerical!! I have never seen it. Thanks for sharing. I know I will be watching many times. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes! I love those Clydesdale commercials too! I had not seen the one with the donkey in it. My fav is the one with the little Clyde in it...who dreams of being a big horse one day and tries to pull the yoke....

So so so sweet. Every time I watch it, I want to get a couple more donkeys to play with Gunny and Harry. I just LOVE my little guys. Great commercial! I also love the one with the baby Clydesdale who "pulls" the wagon with the help of some big friends.
ReplyDeleteI have a vague memory of something called a "super bowl" but I can't quite place it.
ReplyDeleteIt must have something to do with horses, based on your post. Or it could be a bowling competition, that seems logical.

Oh, we enjoyed those. Mercy loves both of those so much, thanks for putting them up. Gave us a laugh!
ReplyDeleteI loved that one too! I think I was a huge fan of George's last year so it made even a bigger impact. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI had not seen the Budweiser commercial either. Loved it! And, since I am from Louisiana, guess you know who I'll be rooting for tomorrow. GO SAINTS!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG - I loved both of them! Never saw either before - and my cat was trying to con me into more snacks as I watched the cat herding.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smiles!

I had never seen the cat herding commercial. Loved it. May have seen the donkey one. Somehow I manage to check out the Clydesdale offerings usually.
ReplyDeleteThe first time the Bengals went to the Super Bowl, and lost, we lived just a little south of the riverfront area on higher ground - closer to the airport and daughter pre-school age. Superb seasons bring media attention. One night during the season the blimp went floating by outside our balcony window with Snoopy in lights on the side. You should have seen her face as we stood out there and watched the magic. Advertising can be special.
Love the donkey commercial but must admit that I am seriously concerned that the big horses are going to run him over. Wouldn't his stride be a lot shorter? I know it's just a commercial and that the animals are totally monitored, and yet I still worry.
ReplyDeleteThink I'll go try to find me a life...
It's enough to make me take up beer drinking.
ReplyDeleteOkay, maybe not. But I do love the superbowl ad fest. It's the best part of the game (since I'm not a football fan).
That's the reason I watch too (unless there's a cute coach). You hit on two of my favorite ads. I even saved the one of cat herding to my hard drive :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the Budweiser donkey ad! I LOVED it!!!!! I've seen the Budweiser clydesdales several times up close and they are absolutely gorgeous. Pampered, shiny, confident, gorgeous babies. That donkey was SO cute!
ReplyDeleteI have watched the cat herder video many times and really enjoy it. I always see something new.
This was so much fun, Linda. Thanks!
And I'm embarrassed to tell you how I tear up *every time* I watch that little donkey in the Bud commercial. :)
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorites too....but we will forego the Super Bowl today for Avatar with friends and Italian dinner beforehand. I'll be able to see all the good commercials on YouTube by the time I get home from the movie tonight....or here by tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the festivities ... and I don't mean the play by play.
I remember that Clydesdale commercial from last year. I teared up. :o)
ReplyDeleteAnd, I love the Cat Herding commercial. It's a classic!!
