I love the first picture the most. So peaceful and perfectly posed. Like look, here is my best side. Yesterday reminded of--In everything there is a season..a time to laugh and a time to cry.
Keepin' each other company - nice to see! And a sunny day in winter is always a good thing. Seems to me though that Deets like the burros very much. Probably looking for a warm, furry back to chill out on?
What a gorgeous set of pictures that totally warmed my heart. The colors and the scenery in the first photo are beautiful - not to mention how handsome George and Alan are. And of course love the last shot of you and Hank. And Deets too! George and Alan look like they've mastered synchronized R&R - down to the way they have their legs tucked in. Awww.
Oh donkeys!!! This Ozarks farm chick's Hubby is just amazed with the critters. We have around fifteen here on the Ponderosa. Chalky honks at the first smoke out the fireplace chimney beggin' to be fed. Your landscape view is just breathtakingly beautiful.

George and Alan remind me of a pair of salt and pepper shakers. If you ever think of commissioning some ceramic burro spice shakers you'd make a pretty penny.
Poor Hank. He seems so lonely. I know it's too soon, but do you think you might get him a new buddy?
Awwww. Such beautiful photos, and I know its supposed to make us happy, but it still makes me sad. I think, for me, when losing an animal, the hardest part is watching the other family members (animals) adjust to it. It just KILLS me. Hugs to you and all of them.

Do your cats like to sleep on the horse's backs? Many is the time I'd go to get my horse out of his stable on winter mornings and I'd have to shift a snoring cat to get his blanket off! haha
Love the top picture...those two look like a pair of matched bookends.....and the scenery behind them is gorgeous! What a postcard!
