My bodyguard

Ever the faithful servant, Deets accompanied me to the woodpile
to help load the Ranger with enough fuel for the week.


He inspected the bed for varmints...



He perused the perimeter for invaders...




He kept an eye out for rustlers...



and he was prepared to face off with marauding coyotes.



I couldn't ask for a more vigilant vigilante.



This is boring. Can we go chase mice now?

    Ah, love it! I have two black cats, and one looks a lot like your Deets. My Oz kinda reminds me of Deets actually, he's always got to inspect and "help" whenever we do home projects. Nice to know that we've got company, right?

    You couldn't have a better bodyguard, Deets is a cat to be reckoned with. I think he needs an official hat and badge though.
