Hank, you're looking mighty grungy these days,
between the mud, the dirt and the shedding.
Why don't you go on over there and groom yourself?

Be sure to get the underside...
Ok, now turn and do the other side...
Don't forget the tail...
Good job!
Boy o boy, you sure have your guys well trained!
ReplyDeleteThat's a mighty fine looking horse... his winter coat looks so soft.. Is warmer weather heading your way? We're supposed to reach 60 today - yoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteMy chocolate lab does this with our couch...
ReplyDeleteHe knows just the right spots! What a doll. How's his buddy doing?
ReplyDeleteNancy, we're supposed to be in the mid-50s this weekend! Amen.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, we'll find out how Lyle is doing on a ride tomorrow...if the weather indeed warms up. His appointment with the chiropractor is set for next Friday. Thanks for asking.
Linda, all I can guess is that your home office window faces the paddocks and pasture. How on earth do you catch such fun photo moments??
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are crossed for good Lyle news !
ReplyDeleteShedding already? What? Do you have, like, a 2 week winter there? I'm jealous. Hank looked like he was enjoying himself. That's a great scratchin' post. Couldn't do much better unless he went through a car wash.
ReplyDeleteOoo, that looked good. I need one of those bushes. Exfoliate!
ReplyDeleteHilarious. I bet that's how wild horses groom themselves. He's a fine looking hunk o' horseflesh.
ReplyDeleteCeeCee, my office window does look out at the barn, but I'll let you in on a little secret...all the photos in my posts from Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week were all taken over a two-hour period Saturday afternoon. It was finally warm enough to hang outside with the boys, and they were being particularly photogenic.
ReplyDeleteWhat an accommodating horse!
ReplyDeleteI bet that feels good. My poor boys don't have anything to scratch themselves on except the snowy ground.
ReplyDeleteOh I bet that feels good!
ReplyDeleteBest luck for 2010 ! for all horse lovers
ReplyDeleteNow if he could just learn to give himself a bath too! Cute pictures, great horse.
ReplyDeleteHorses can do the funniest things.
ReplyDeleteI love grooming animals. Cats, horses, dogs all enjoy a nice massage. It's such a wonderful way to connect with an animal without saying a word. They do tell me when they want more though. It's one of
ReplyDeletemy favorite things to do.
Best always, Sandra
Hank...you're such a pretty boy (in a good way!).
