Do you have any idea how many friends you've made by being your cute little self? You are loved, little buddy. And now we're going to show them your amazing convex eyelashes. I hope they can handle it.
Do you think People magazine will put me on
the cover of their "sexiest burro alive" issue?
the cover of their "sexiest burro alive" issue?
One step at a time. How about we start out small and make you official spokesmodel for the 7MSN? Are you ready? Go ahead...make your big announcement.
A-hem. I'm pleased to announce the grand opening of The 7MSN Ranch Mercantile over at Café Press. That's where mom got my hat made, and now you can get one just like it if you're so inclined. No pressure. We're tickled that some of you have expressed interest in "wearing the brand." If you're not a hat kind of person, there are a couple of other souvenirs over there that you might like - a mouse pad, a journal, and a big mug. We're not in this to profit off our friends, so there is no mark-up on any of this stuff.
Good job, Alan. Now tell them about the contest.
Oh, yeah, the contest. To celebrate the grand opening of our store, we're having a giveaway! Here's the scoop:
The prize: one 7MSN Ranch hat and mug
To enter: leave a comment on this post telling me what you ate for breakfast
Contest closes: Thursday, 7:00pm Mountain time
Number of winners: one
One entry per person, please. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced Friday.
Good luck!
I always start out with coffee, as frequently mentioned here, and this morning will be oatmeal with different types of berries from my gardens and a splash of milk.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, those eyelashes ... ooooh, whatta picture!!!
a yogart and fruit smothie with coffee...(boring) I would like the mug if I win please :-)

Uh Oh I bet Alan won't pick the first comment.Especially a boring one.Every morn coffee, coffee, fruit and english muffin. You see, you cut the muffin in half, you get two pieces. Makes your mind think you are getting more. He probably would notice me more if I had said a burro-eat-toe (breakfast burito)
ReplyDeleteI had oatmeal and a hot cup of tea for breakfast today.
ReplyDeleteI loved the 7MSN hat and was so happy that I could order one for myself. I'll be in Texas in February and I'm going to the FT Worth rodeo so I'll wear it proudly there.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to enter the contest too just for fun. Thanks, Carson it's always such fun at your place and a good laugh for the day to boot.
Breakfast is just toast, peanut butter, honey and a coffee.
Best always, Sandra
A bagel with buttah...
ReplyDeleteA bowl of honeynut cheerios! Reading a post from the MSN always starts my day off right...thanks for a chance to win>
ReplyDeletePopcorn chicken, banana, donut stick, and hot cocoa.
ReplyDeleteSeeing as it is only 7ish in the morning, breakfast so far has been a cup of coffee. Food waits til after morning chores. BTW, I love Alan and George--how interesting their lives are from their point of view!
ReplyDeleteI haven't eaten any breakfast, yet. I always check out the 7MSN antics, first! (Pick me! Pick me!)
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Alan, I would love to have breakfast with you. I love my "Oats" so I have oldfashioned oat meal with grainola, peppermint tea, toast with P-nut butter. I am a grain type of girl. Love your eye lashes. They are to die for. Fl. Fan, Bev
ReplyDeleteI had a bowl of cherrios, milk and a glass of orange juice.

ReplyDeleteI am eating my breakfast right now (which consists of a bowl of froot loops) because I have already cleaned 10 stalls, fed 15 horses and it's not even 9 am.
ReplyDeleteA multigrain bagel with peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteCongrats with your shop! And Alan with his white fluffy belly and matching eyelashes is an excellent spokesburro.
ReplyDeleteSuch a coincidence that I for once had a long coffee shop breakfast with a friend this morning! My regular oatmeal porridge black coffee breakfast was replaced by a brioche with lots of butter, fresh orange juice and caffe latte ... I will now go pray to the random.org god.
I had a french toast bagel with cream cheese.
ReplyDeleteI love your pics, I don't think I could pick a favorite horse or burro, they are all so darn cute.

ReplyDeleteoh, i want a mug! i had leftover deftige steckrueben soup. that translates to hearty rutabaga soup. it was my first time cooking with a rutabaga last night. it's a very difficult to slice vegetable!

WooHoo!
ReplyDeleteAlan, I ate Raisin Bran for breakfast. Trying to stay healthy and all.
Alan, ask your mom if your convex eyelashes cause scratching of your eyes or any other problems. Just curious.

ReplyDeleteCereal, my standby.

Good Morning...eating my breakfast at this very moment and it's a cinnamon bagel toasted with cream cheese and of course coffee. yum yum
ReplyDeleteI need my fiber and a bit of sweet, so Raisin Nut Bran, thank you, and a cuppa Chai tea. Everybody in the barn gets timothy hay...
ReplyDeleteYou are so right - Alan & George have made me fall in love w/their breed! They have convinced me I need a couple of burro's when I retire! I hope I'm not disqualified because I don't "eat" my breakfast - I only have coffee.
ReplyDeleteP.s. I think Rhonda might be pregnant. Did you see what she had for breakfast????
I was bad. I ate an Egg McMuffin from Ronald's. I was running late (again) on my way to work. :( I would rather stay home with my donkeys and draft.
ReplyDeleteCoffee! The rest of breakfast has to wait til I get back from Church this morning, but it'll be farm eggs and a mild italian sausage patty. Great burro-eye photo and I love that mouse pad.
ReplyDeleteI had
ReplyDeleteTwo flakes of Hay
Scoop and a half of MG 12/8

ReplyDeleteIn the morning, I drink my coffee as I read your blog, then head off to work, toting a yogurt and a banana that I eat about 1/2 after getting to work! By the way, I vote you the cutest burro for the magazine, and your eye lashes are just way to cute!
ReplyDeleteWow. The mouse pad is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI had orange juice and then a bowl of lucky charms with a bit of milk. It was yummy!
Mary
Banana and protein drink. Breakfast of Burro Champions everywhere.

ReplyDeleteOk, this is too funny. Look at how many comments you've gotten on this post! The 7MSN Ranch Mercantile is going to be a big hit I see. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pic of Alan's eyelashes. Gorgeous.
Peanut butter on wheat toast and black tea. Every. Single. Morning.
Congrats on your store!! YEAH!!!
ReplyDeleteBreakfast? You mean me? Cause I fed everyone else and I'm running on coffee. Thinking of some spicy chicken noodles... I'm wishing I was Anon at the McD's though. That sounds DELISH!
Breakfast will be grapenuts....yum!

Congrats on your new online store!
Very cute. Of course he could be the sexiest burro alive but he may have competition from his brother.
ReplyDeletecoleslaw
ReplyDeleteCoffee with half & half, a banana and 3 logs of string cheese. The coffe is good but would be much improved if served with burro. They are so cute butt to butt.
ReplyDeleteGood job, Alan! You make a lovely spokesburro.
ReplyDeleteMy breakfast consisted of one glass of OJ and two cups of coffee. I know...shame on me!
The world's best cereal -- Supper Nutty Toffee Clusters from Trader Joe's!
ReplyDeleteBreakfast was a dark chocolate cherry granola bar and a cup of chai. What I really wanted was a green chile breakfast burrito. They don't make them where I live and since it was a workday, I didn't have time to make one myself.
ReplyDeleteAlan you are my favorite just don't tell Smooch.I had yogurt with bannanas oranges and blueberries
ReplyDeleteprotein bar

ReplyDeleteI was worried about the eyelashes scratching Alan's eyes, but since CeeCee already asked about that, I won't. Congratulations on your store! I do want to win something with the burros on it! Breakfast? Oops - didn't eat it yet. Have just had my big mug of ice water so far, but these comments have me thinking - probably oatmeal with a banana sliced on top. And hot chocolate!!

ReplyDeleteI started out with my morning coffee. We're retired so when hubby got up we had breakfast. I had 1 slice of oatnut toast with 1 egg (fried hard) and 1/4 bowl of leftover chicken soup (hot). Unbalanced but delicious!
ReplyDeleteMarge
Had I known what y'all ate for breakfast before I posed the question, I would have decided the contest winner by "least nutritious" or "strangest"! Be that as it may, I had three cups of coffee and two packets of sugar-free maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal. And like most of you, it's the same breakfast five days a week. (On weekends, I splurge and have eggs and green chile.)
ReplyDeleteAbout those (((( eyelashes. George's are convex, too, just not as full and lush. I think it must be a burro thing. Looks to me like they've evolved that way to protect the eyeball from the dust and wind of the desert.
Rhonda, I LOVED your breakfast! Sounds delish.
ReplyDeleteI had kefir poured over a sliced banana with blueberries sprinkled on top. Yummm!
I didn't know burros had convex eyelashes - how cute. I'll bet that does screen out the dust. And great news about the mercantile. And...and we have a contest to boot.
I never know what kind of doin's I'll find at the 7MSN ranch!
Whole Wheat English Muffin and OJ
ReplyDelete( Nothing like a little contest to bring out the lurkers !) :)
Steel cut oats with soy milk, agave syrup and walnuts.
ReplyDeleteHalf of my boss' southwestern style omelet w/cheesy hashbrowns. Yum!
ReplyDeleteKarenTX
Thanks for the opportunity at your very cool stuff..and I had half a turkey sandwich on 12 grain bread with a dab of fat free mayo. Also a nice shot of coffee...that way it is eaten while driving to work. I too live in the middle of Nowhere! :)
ReplyDeleteCaught me on a great day. Scrambled eggs with tomatillos---only no tomatillos so I used salsa verde---and I add onions and a jalapeno, diced. Throw in some hash browns and now I am stuffed. Usually it is only decaf coffee and what could be more boring.
ReplyDeleteHell, I'm retired!!
gramps
A Double Shot Mocha Latte without whip cream. But it would have tasted so much better out of a burro mug.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Carson! I know the Mercantile will be a resounding success!!
ReplyDeleteAlan - you are destined for stardom little buddy! Your grace and poise in front of the camera will take you far. Just don't lose your humility - being spokesburro is a demanding job, but I know you'll just bat those fabulous lashes and everyone will fall at your hooves :)
Breakfast today was blueberry waffles, bacon and Diet Coke. I know, I know, but I hate coffee (hope that doesn't disqualify me - lol)
Peaches and Cream yogurt, wheat bagel with veggie cream cheese! YUMMIE
ReplyDeleteEarl Grey Tea - can't start the day without it! Then later on yoghurt and a banana.
ReplyDeleteAlan is the most adorable donkey ever :)
OH NO! You had to pick TODAY to ask?! I am a dedicated Cheerio's fan. I eat it every morning....except today. Today I made a breakfast sandwich out of a buttermilk muffin (from dinner last night) bacon, pepper jack cheese and an egg. It was sooooo good. I'm ashamed-but that's what I had.
ReplyDeleteReb
oh. I guess I could have lied.....That's right. I had Cheerio's
Post Great Grains with raisins and dates and a cup of coffee. Then came to work and my coworker brought in cinnamon rolls. Sugar high!

ReplyDeleteI started Weight Watchers yesterday so I had pineapple and cottage cheese! I know stupid to post as anonymous but trust me I'll check back! I feel so lucky that I happened to get one of the first batch of the calendars. Love it, love it. Later...
ReplyDeleteCarson,
ReplyDeleteI had a bagel and a "shmear." So what else would IU eat.
Glass a tea to wash it down.
Oy!
Plain kefir with agave syrup and a handful of almonds, blueberries and blackberries. Followed by a bucket of coffee, which still wasn't quite enough.
ReplyDeleteI don't eat breakfast every day. But, when I do I drink a Carnation Instant Breakfast. Soooo boring, I know. But maybe if I had a cute mug to drink it out of....
ReplyDeleteBanilla organic yogurt with Kashi sprinkled on it. Some coffee with toxic flavored creamer, some OJ and lots of vitamins. I am missing my calendar from last year. The boys were so cute!
ReplyDeleteGranola bar & Honey Crisp apple.
ReplyDeleteI love Alan :) Glad he's been given the honour of "spokesmodel"

ReplyDeleteEgg substitute with Laughing Cow Herb cheese mixed in and scrambled in the microwave..... It's Hungry Girl style and I luve it! Sometimes I even put it on a double fiber english muffin with a piece of canadian bacon and spread some dijonaise on the muffin. My version of egg mcmuffin.....
ReplyDeleteI love the pink 7MSN hat and would like to win one.
ReplyDeleteI had coffee and two boiled eggs. Thanks for having a contest!
ReplyDeleteDesiree

Gave the clerk the extra one.
