And after all I've done for you. Remember that time you climbed the neighbor's tree and were m.i.a for two days? Who finally heard your plaintive cries and convinced you to come down?
And that first winter, when you decided you didn't want to be a barn cat after all and sat outside the living room window and stared at me every night until I let you in the house?
And who has let you sneak onto the bed every morning for 10 years and steal half the pillow?
You're right. I'm eternally grateful. Now shut up and feed me and I'll wear the stupid hat.
You do seem to have your ways in convincing your critters to wear that hat. After all that what else could Snapper do, BUT a bowl of food always helps! HA!
ReplyDeleteAnything for food!
ReplyDeleteBest always, Sandra
Cats put up with so much. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! LOL! I have a precious cat too so I can relate!
ReplyDeleteSmart kitty Snapper! You know who your mama is. And thanks for humoring her, she has been so, so into this elf thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd we have all benefitted some the elves entertaining us during their training!
Ohhh... the look she's giving you in #3! That's the same look mine gives me right before she attacks!
ReplyDeleteWell, if it is for food, I think a little humiliation is worth it.

Boy that was way too easy! You want a real challenge, head over my way and convince my three to wear the hat. I can assure you, it would never go so well! Lol!
ReplyDeleteAhahah snapper.
ReplyDeleteWow, Linda - you've got yourself some major convincing skills! :-)
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY, again, by the way. :-)
Snapper is lovely and still so dignified, even after donning the red hat.
ReplyDeleteYou ought to get an award for being the blogger to make me LOL first for the most times. Nobody does it better than you!
ReplyDeleteIt always comes down to the food. If it weren't for that, cats would ignore us completely.
ReplyDeleteUntil it got cold.
congrats on another elf crossing!
Why do I have the feeling the hat came on when Snapper was face down snacking in the feed bowl?!!
ReplyDeleteAn elf is an elf though! Love your stories.
Snapper looks so much like my Walter Kitty and acts like him, too. He persuaded me that he should be a house cat and outside cat and inside and outside and why the hell did I let it snow?????
ReplyDeleteBribery and corruption works every time! :)
ReplyDeleteNice post & nice blog. I love both.
