Come on, little buddy. Smooch wore it, Alan wore it, even Wynonna wore it! Where's your Christmas spirit?
Deets was having none of it. Finally, I hung the hat on the fence, thinking he might walk under it and I could kinda sorta get a shot of him looking like he was wearing it.
No such luck. So then I says to Deets, "Deets, don't be such a Scrooge. Your loyal fans are counting on you. Help me put a smile on their faces."
I told you it was too big.
Deets, show the folks at home your impression of a circus elephant stepping onto a platform.
Good job!
I'm so gonna get you for this.
Gotta get out of here before somebody sees me like this.
Poor Deets. Oh, the indignity!
ReplyDeleteYou should consider publishing a book with your photo 'story' of elf training. It would be a very cute book for animal lovers.
ReplyDeletePoor Deets ... I'm guessing the 'one size fits all' doesn't work here, but he came through with flying colors and who says that hat has to stay/be on the head?
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Word!
ReplyDeleteI think these are the funniest pictures you've posted. Ever.
Hilarious
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the smile.
Best always,
Sandra
At our house we would say, "He's gonna pee in your bed for that one." when our cat gets 'tortured'. :)
ReplyDeleteGood thing Deets is an outdoor only dude.
Very cute and he is so gonna get you for that when you least expect it!
ReplyDeleteDeets, you're a much better sport that my boy Sammy!
ReplyDeleteFantastic, poor Deets!
ReplyDeleteYay Deets! I knew you could do it! Such a class act-love the tongue-and who says the hat has to be worn on the head!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree w/GrayHorseMatters - he's gonna get you for that! Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I'm spittin' my coffee and peein' in my drawers. My hero, Deets, suffers no indignity and wears his elf hat (wherever that may be) with pride. #1 Cat, indeed.
ReplyDeleteYou need to go to the pet store and get a deets sized santa hat.
ReplyDeleteThe latest in Outside Cat Fashions; Holiday Butt Warmers.
ReplyDeleteDeets ROCKS that hat no matter which part of his body he wears it on! Love the one of him sitting totally still with it covering his head - SO funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd such a good sport - just like the rest of your critters! :-)
I'm laughing WITH you Deets, not AT you. I swear. That was pretty funny, the hat over the head trick. Although, I did notice that all your very impressive claws were showing...
ReplyDeleteOh that's too funny! It does fit nicely on the hind end...
ReplyDeleteYou can tell Deets is a pretty confident cat. Mine would have run away in terror at the scary red thing. Thanks for the holiday cheer!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh, Deets.
ReplyDeleteDidn't you know that cats are WAY too dignified for those kind of shenanigans?? lol
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying this elf series. Let the guys and gals know that it is bringing big smiles to many faces.
ReplyDeleteSo, what is the secret to keeping the hat so clean? My baddogs would have chewed, dragged, rolled and otherwise folded, spindled and mutilated this instrument of torture.
ReplyDeleteI must say Deets looked singularly unimpressed by the whole experience. Maybe if would help if there was a mouse in the hat.
ReplyDeleteWynonna wore it?? That's a cliffhanger, I'll be back!
ReplyDeleteThat was great. Thanks for the laugh
ReplyDeleteI think this beats all the rest, poor Deets!
ReplyDeleteDeets had some pretty wicked looking claws out when he was sitting on the tub.....love the guy but I do think he is gonna get you back.
ReplyDeleteAck! I love that silly black kitty :D What great pics...but you are definitely going to pay for this one :) Hehehe...
ReplyDeleteI love that face! That tongue is sure sending a message. And Santa Butt is super cute too!
ReplyDeleteThis is payback for the barn thing, right?
ReplyDeleteThat look on his face is priceless. :)
Deets demonstrates the versatility of the fashionable holiday hat!
ReplyDeleteDeets - what a trendsetter! I like it much better on his tail.
