These long four-day weekends confuse the heck out of me, and I woke up this morning believing it was Sunday. So it seems only fitting to repeat this post today.
When I looked out the window this morning, two things were obvious: the wind was not blowing amen and my horses were very tired. I decided to go play "how close can I get before they wake up."
Hank and Lyle were out for the count. The wind has been blowing hellatiously and finally stopped for a few hours. This was the first time all week they could really relax and stop worrying about predators they couldn't hear because of the wind.
All was peaceful until Lyle farted as only horses can and Hank decided he had to get out of that wind.
Hank was in a bad spot for the extra wind, I love his face in the last picture. With Lyle sort of saying
ReplyDelete"What! Do I offend"?
I was reading this and thinking "I'll have what they are having" until I read Lyle's outburst. LOL!
ReplyDeleteBoy they sure looked sleepy. Very cute pictures!
Aww I love it when they rest their chins on the ground. They must have been really relaxed with all the farting!
ReplyDeleteYour boys are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they finally were able to relax and get a good nights rest. Maybe you should buy them a llama to keep watch on windy days. :)
Your boys sure seem to be out of it in those first few pictures, but that last picture sure is a classic ... poor Hank!
ReplyDeleteThey sure look exhausted - glad they got some rest!
ReplyDeleteThey put a smile on my face. I had to read it over a couple of times just to soak up the good feelings. Also glad I was "upwind" so to speak.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see those guys so completely relaxed. They deserve it after the hard week they had. ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, you've got great subject matter too.
ReplyDeletelol. That is sleepy. It's so funny how they mirror each other so closely with their body positions and facial expressions. What a pair.
ReplyDeleteYawn... Boy, that made me sleepy. Looks like you managed to sneak up pretty close for those shots.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I love those face in the dirt shots. What sweet boys!
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that....with both kinds of wind!
