Food chain realignment

Blissfully unaware of his central role in yesterday's drama, Deets returns to the pasture to stalk lizards and re-establish his rightful place in the food chain.

  5. Deets is one cool customer. I think I see his guardian angel hovering nearby. Or is that Smooch? Same thing.

  9. Hi Carson: Can we have a little history on this cute little guy.
He's a smart barn cat. Did he arrive out of nowhere or did you adopt him from the SPCA? Has he been with you a long time? He really adds character to your ranch animal stories.
    Sincerely, Sandra

  12. Sandra, Deets joined the family on April 8, 2008. I was in need of a varmint-eating barn cat and saw him advertised on craig's list. His owner had just moved to an apartment where he could no longer go outdoors and she said he was miserable, so moving him here seemed like it would be a win-win.

Here's a link to his arrival story:

  22. Using Deets in all his fabulousness as background picture for a few days (or until something else catches my eye). Seems perfect for early fall.

My two cats live indoors.Busy road out there.
