35 seconds – the time it takes to microwave my first cup of morning coffee because Mr. Coffee never spits it out hot enough. There's not much I can do in 35 seconds while I wait for my coffee because: a) I'm not very awake yet and b) I'm not very awake yet. But 35 sleepy seconds 7 days a week is enough time to teach Smooch to do stupid pet tricks. We've mastered the basics: shake, crawl, twirl, and hide and seek. Here is our current favorite: the
how much do you love me game.
How much do you love me, Smooch?
This much?
Wow! That much?
But if you really loved me, you'd make the coffee.
It just might be time for a brand new coffee maker with a wake you up morning timer. On second thought Smooch would no longer get the 36 second trick lesson.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you place the camera anyway to get the great shot?
Thanks for the daily perk up. Love your photos.
Sandra
Sandra, the advantage of having a house guest is that you can make them stand on the counter above your head and take pictures of your stupid pet tricks.
ReplyDeletelmao i was going to ask HOW great stuff i love smootchs love show!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah was gonna ask you hows the hanging tomato coming on? mine are loaded with maters and blooms i am however upset... i thought i had bought a cherry tomato plant and a big boy and it is looking like both are cherry maters... sigh...
ReplyDeleteNow that would be a great trick for any dog!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Smooch is just waiting for her next lesson.
Now that is a great houseguest! So funny that you're grownups climbing on the kitchen counters!
ReplyDeleteYou must be having fun out there.
What a smart puppy!
And, obviously, now you need another house guest to take a picture of the one standing on the counter taking the picture of you and Smooch...
ReplyDeleteYea Smooch!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Smooch can take the Rhino/Gator/Mule (whichever you have) down to town and get you a new coffee maker?
Just out of curiosity, how'd you get those pictures, with both of your hands clearly in the picture??
Smooch seems pretty smart. I'm looking forward to the the Smooch making coffee post.
ReplyDeleteI think you should hand Deets a camera and get him to photograph...well...you know... ;o)
ReplyDeleteSmooch is one smart pup. A quick study. I knew that the first moment I saw his sweet face.
THAT is the conclusion I finally drew ! ( And I think you've trained your sister well !!)
ReplyDeleteI more or less figured it was your brave sister standing on the counter (love your countertops by the way!), but Smooch is one good girl doing tricks like that in the early morning. Wally and I both stumble around and it usually takes 2 cups of coffee for me, and a little snooze for him, before we attempt any stupid pet tricks here.
ReplyDeleteNow that is better than waking up to a cup of coffee anyday!! LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteSmooch is such a rock star, bless her! Great series of photos, your sister did well :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteA very wise use of your time Linda...and Smooch. Smooch, remember how much you love your mom when she asks you to do something and you see no reason in the world to do it. She may have hot coffee above your head...so do it!
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed at her talents! So cute!
