Up close and personal...mama's got a brand new lens

Getting close enough to my animals to take pictures has never been a problem. But I've got this plan stuck in my head to find the wild horses that roam south of here, and for that I will need a longer lens. So I bought one and have been messing with it.

Not all subjects lend themselves to the up-close-and-personal treatment that this lens offers, and I'm still trying to figure out where to draw the line. I think I may have crossed it on this last one.

  1. Awesome close-ups, although it does seem Smooch is not too thrilled with this ... HA! I do detect a smile/smirk from Wynonna, and her close-up shows us that she simply enjoys life .. yep the mud on her nose gives that away. Whatta gal!!!

  2. How could you ever even consider not getting up close and personal with Wynonna. She's so photogenic and adorable, just look at the expression on her face.

    Nikon 55-200 4/5.6G EDIF AF-S DX VR.
I'll still have to get pretty close to any wild horse I plan to shoot, but it's a start.

  20. Those are great, event the last one (you're welcome, Winona!) I really want a camera with a better zoom...it's nothing short of a necessity when filming animals! I'm getting really close to getting my new camera....at least I have the funds now, I'm just afraid to make the commitment!

  22. What line? I didn't see you cross the line? I wonder if your long lense can capture me all the way over here. I can be a bit wild.
