The inaugural hoopla has died down and it's back to business in our nation's capital, but I wanted to pause just once more for a little reflection on the day.
Looking back now from a different angle, let's take a moment to remember the fashion statements. There was Michelle in her lovely gown, the girls in their darling J.Crew coats and scarves. And then there was Aretha in her millinery splendor. Lordy, I loved that hat. And I never want to forget how resplendent it looked against the backdrop of that historic day.
So I thought I'd let the King of Soul try it on and post it here so I would have a lasting souvenir.
That's hysterical! You rock.
ReplyDeleteThat bow was one of the highlights of the day for me.
That is SWEET!! He looks super hot in his stylish hat.
ReplyDeleteNow that he's got the hat, if you could get him to belt out a tune in 'Donkey Bray' of the National Anthem you could make a fortune.
ReplyDeleteoh geez. What is it with that hat??
ReplyDeleteHilarious! I read that thousands of those hats have been sold since Aretha sported it on Inauguration Day. I'm glad to see that George scored one!
ReplyDeleteLOL a great tribute to
ReplyDeletems franklins hat LOL LOL
Personally, I think that hat looks better on George than it did on her...lol

I want to see it on Wynona. I really do.
ReplyDeleteI thought that hat was awesome too. Some of the commentators sort of snickered at it, but I thought it was perfect for Aretha and the Inaugaration Day.
Is that George?
Yeah baby!! And I agree, Aretha looked splendid, hat and suit both. The "white dress" is now officially forgotten
ReplyDeleteI laughed SO hard over that picture! George, you look marvelous!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteTHAT is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHe almost looks better than Aretha in it, almost. Don't tell Aretha though.
ReplyDeleteGeorge got it goin' ON!
ReplyDeleteWell, I have to say George wears the hat better than Aretha did....Just being honest here! This was the best!! Super Funny!
ReplyDeleteDidn't see the ceremony or the hat but I love his expression. He looks so pleased with himself.
ReplyDeleteI missed the inauguration because I was working horses. With all the time we've missed due to my recovery I didn't dare miss anymore work and I worked my tail off. I think I slept through the inaugural balls that night....
ReplyDeleteMy point is despite missing it, I've gotten several glimpse of this lovely chapeau. I must admit, it looks the best on your goat! LOL
Hilarious! I think he looks better in it than Aretha did :)
ReplyDeleteA true beauty.
ReplyDeleteHe looks absolutely mahvalous!
ReplyDeleteDo you hear your phone ringing?
ReplyDeleteI think that's "Vogue" calling! ;-)
Yes, but can he sing???????? :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that hat...lookin' donkey good!
